Misty's in Havelock used to be our go to place. Had great prime rib cooked exactly the way I wanted and long cut horseradish.

Not sure what happened but that place has really gone downhill in the last 5-10 years. I've heard that downtown is better than Havelock. If true, that's good and a shame at the same time. Lots of history there.

As cheap as beef is right now, and meats in general (just a suggestion folks, fill up the freezer with beef pork and chicken) it's a crime to pay 50 for select prime rib. IF it's not choice or above, that's a pretty risky move by the caterer. You'll never get it tender enough and keep it medium rare. That belongs in a Crock-Pot.
It wasn't a caterer. It was a high end private club in Omaha and the price of the plate did not include drinks, room, dessert or servers. Beef is not cheap right now from the packers. Beef packers are making a killing right now so even though the price paid the feeder is down some the price of the boxes is still up there. I should have been smarter than to have prime without specifying the cut.

Valentino's is pretty good....if you've never had pizza before. Otherwise, it's on par with Little Ceasars.
I've had lots of pizza over the past 50 years and Val's is still probably my favorite. Maybe it's because I can't get it locally and it brings nostalgia from when it was right across the street in college. Don't know. Had pizza from the supposedly great places in Chicago etc. and I still would take a Val's (not on their buffet) any day of the week.

I'm sorry I misinterpreted that. Man, I just bought 140# of ribeye for 5.99 and sirloin for 3.99. had them cut 1.5 inches thick and packaged for no additional charge. To me that was dirt cheap. They were choice.

“The Oven” blows. If you like Indian cuisine, Tandoor is so much better. Yia Yia’s pizza is good, but tastes better because of the atmosphere. Vincenzo’s is good and is supposed to be formal (I think), but lots of patrons are dressed like they are in the middle of doing yard work.

The Best things at Runza are the burgers and the onion rings (with the dip). The actual Runzas are ok, but not as good as their burgers. The onion ring dip is the best part of the whole experience.

Val's pizza is something you need to be in the mood for. A lot of people don't like it, and it isn't my number 1 favorite. I really like their Creme Cheese and Jalapeno pizza.

Try their pepperoni deluxe (I think that's what it's called) basically double pepperoni and cream cheese.
