Not to mention probably leading the world in double-plays. Ive seen too many AB's like todays 9th inning leadoff backwards K. If we need a clutch hit with 2 outs and no one on in a blowout I'm all for throwing him out there.

If he plays you must take the bat away from either Stark or Shepherd, whose hitting has come around more than Collins' has.

Collins had a pretty good weekend, and has hit .290 in sec play in his career, I feel like he needs to remain in the lineup for the time being. Shepard just hasnt shown he can be anything more than an inconsistent spray hitter, while collins does hit the ball hard from time to time. I like starting stark bradford and vick in the outfield with frazier ogden parks and collins in the infield. DH norris and catch freeman and the lineup looks a little more formidable.

Shep is currently 4th on the team at .304 and is a much better threat on the basepaths compared to collins. Who out of your OF would play CF which has added importance in the large DNF Stark, Bradford? Definitely not Vick. Sure Collins finds his acorn every now and then but with Cohen's style of offense where speed is key, as well has having his glove in center, Im sticking with Shep

It gives us our best chance to win. Baseball's no different than any other sport. Put the players on the field who give you the best chance to win. Frost and Thigpen should be permanent bench players. Collins can play a role and had some hits this weekend but I'm like you. I've watched him choke time after time over the years with the game in the balance.
