He has really modified is approach. None of the championship rattle. Was candid and pretty level headed about everything.
I felt like he handled the Ole Miss question as well as you can too. Hopefully he is adjusting to the rigors of the Sec West without losing his fire. We will see.

But wasn't all the "championship rattle" right after he got to MSU as a new coach, and he said it to fire up our fanbase? What else would you expect a new coach to say? He didn't say it to tick off the rest of the SEC or to brag ... he was just trying to light a fire. And he did. I have no problem with his exuberance.
He has just now, this season stopped. Maybe it's cause we lost the Egg Bowl and Gator Bowl. Not sure what you are taking from my comments but I am a Mullen supporter. I want him to evolve in this role.
Curious as to why Rome would want an interview with Mullen...

Might not be the case, but even if it is I'm fine with it because the only way to really raise his profile is to win more games than expected.

Not really taking anything. I meant it as a neutral comment. But I ... and apparently you ... like his enthusiasm.
Me too. I want to see growth, maturity and evolution. No more of this clueless looking expression when Johnny Football, Eddie Lacy, Donte Moncreif and a bunch Northwestern white dudes are ramming the 17ing football up your *** and you are laying down like a $15/hour hooker hopped up on cough syrup and muscle relaxers.
Yeah, I probably took a little too far with the comparison. I still believe Mullen has all the ability in the world to make us a consistent winner and a very competitive team, but I felt like he took a step back last year. Who knows how much of it was attributable to Wilson, other off the field issues or things we, as fans, will never know; but, he gets paid $2.6 to fix those types of problems and I hope he has done so. Damn, I'm ready for some football.
