Tough team to watch at times, but this is clearly a different team.
The movement is there, the guys look more comfortable, the defense is better, and the effort is there. They've got to be fatigued with as many minutes as they've logged this early, but they are still finding ways to put some wins on the board.
Gavin is clearly improved, Sword looks a little better, and Jalen is back and has hit some shots. Thomas looks scared to shoot as needs to get some fire back. Overall, I like what Ray has done. I know the big question is whether or not he can get the talent here, but if he does, I think he's going to do well.
No doubt this will be a tough season, but I really like what I see, especially for a team with as many injuries and true freshmen that we have playing.

Yeah, I'm very excited about the program. We just lost at home to a freaking SWAC school. The absolute worst conference in college basketball. I didn't think so before, but now I'm pretty sure we won't win more than 1 or 2 SEC games. Stansbury's teams were NEVER this bad.
Living in Huntsville....I'm glad the game was after church today rather than before. I'll have a few days to come up with excuses, although they are pretty obvious.

We suck and have no shooters. We desperately need a Rodney Hood type that can hit that 8-12 foot pull up jumper. We will get there eventually. We just need 3 impact players and some hard playing role players and we will turn it around by late next season. It doesn't take long in basketball.
