My feed messed up on the kicker part also.

Is Croom going to be on ESPN2 or News at 2:10?

paraphrased of course and based on my shotty memory.

1. What is the impact of losing Henig and did you talk to him about leaving? Said that despite losing Henig that we have some good guys coming back and that Carroll will do well. Said he is more worried about who our backup tackle is going to be.

2. How important was winning the liberty bowl for this team and program? Lasting effects? He talked about our fan support and how the team fed off of it at that game and at the OM game.

3. Couldn't hear the question but he answered by talking about Carroll. Said he was a leader and a winner, etc.

4. There was a question about the number of black coaches in NCAA D1 ball. Croom answered that AD's aren't to blame and that the blame should go on head coaches for not promoting black assistant's to coordinator positions because getting a head coaching job isn't possible otherwise.

that's all i got.

Hey, look who's going to be on ESPNews

Yep. Sylvester Croom

As part of the SEC's Media Day event, Croom will appear live on ESPNews: HotList at 2:10 p.m. on Wednesday.

In addition, Joe Galbraith of the MSU media relations office tells me Croom's alloted time in Hoover will also be aired on an on-demand basis to Maroon to the Max subscribers Wednesday night.

I guess it will be Croom, Croom, everywhere Croom.

Hey, it's football.

of the 4 or 5 questions posed there was one about henig and then another one about black coaches in the NCAA, i am like you thunder, just damn. they might as well ask about Fred Smoot.......all pointless, ask some questions about something meaningful.

I'm watching ESPNU right now and they are saying this is a live feed from the press conference. I am yet to hear any questions about Henig.
Croom has talked about Mike Brown, Carroll allowing us to open up the offense, and recruiting (early commitments).

Well, crap. I actually KNEW something like this would happen when I set up my DVR this morning, so I double checked to see if the time was EST or CST. Now I get to see Tebow and Chaney.

Sly is very confident in Derrick Sherrod at LT and JC Brignone at center. Says Brignone is one of the physically strongest individuals he's been around, and is also mentally tough.

Jamar Cheney is "in best shape since he's been here, he's a cut individual, he really worked hard in the off season"

Of course, he had been a coordinator in the past. Also, Rocky Felker had never been a coordinator when we hired him back in 1986. He was coaching WRs at Alabama.
