i'm sorry, but coates was guilty of pushing off. there was a lot of contact by aubrun wr/db that they did not call at all.

it didn't matter in the long run because the 17'n refs made up for that call when barn was on their 1 yard line and the ball was completely uncatchable. the call was pass interference there too ... NOT holding and NOT illegal contact. either of those calls might have been acceptable because the insta-excuse is "he couldn't catch it because he was being interferred"... no. the ball was easily "17" yards away.

LOL. The way I see it....

We would have to get all the breaks and calls for about 7 or 8 straight years, and then things may begin to even up.

We won because our players, coaches, and fan base is morally, spiritually, ethically, and genetically superior to them....just as we are to Ole Miss.

We won't even discuss that Auburn was lined up in the neutral zone in damned near every single play and it was never called.

glad you said that, thought I was crazy. Kept pointing it out to my wife and she told me to quit being a homer. She's sleeping in the shed tonight.

The refs were definitely below average. We saw that on our first series, with the non-call on obvious pass interference. A lot of holds weren't called too.

I've got news for Gus Malzahn, Gary Danielson, and all the Auburn fans. That was an obvious pass interference call. It wasn't even questionable. When the receiver extends his arm to push off, that's going to get called every single time.

Had an AU fan actually walk me thru the "push-off" like I'm supposed to agree and also got some nasty looks here in N AL with the State hat. It would take years to make up for all the BS ref calls vs AU. Years. 4th down daylight measurement, Vick Ballard, headset-gate, Cam, etc. Eat a hot bag of Chizik dicks you whiny, cowbell-stealing, Bama wannabes. Solid #2 on my hate list.

The truth about the Coates penalty is that the official who called it was in the best position to see what was going on. Better than any of the camera angles that were shown. If that arm is full extended against the defender PI is going to get called every time. We couldn't see that arm well on TV, but that official could.

Also, penalties were relatively even between both teams (I think one team had 6, the other 7). We got hurt by that holding penalty late in the game.

My heart bleeds peanut butter for em.

Any State alum that doesn't strongly dislike auburn with the fire of 1,000 suns doesn't know history. And I'm talking all the way back to '51 when my dad played. F em

Auburn literally stole a national title from us. The way I see it we can win the next 50 titles and it still wouldn't be fair until we did they same unethical thing to them. Their right to complain about fairness stopped after they gave Cecil the check.

He had great vision of the play. Watching the replay, he was reaching for his flag to throw it well before the ball was even caught. He starts reaching right after the stiff arm. Watching it live, I didn't see the arm and asked my fiancee how our defender (I think it was Calhoun?) had great coverage and then was suddenly a yard behind like he just slowed down. Then the replay showed and you can clearly see his arm extending into his chest and then the defender swiping his arm to knock his hand off his chest. Now if the ref wasn't in perfect position, I could see how it would be missed.

Auburn got away with a ton of holding. And how is that not intentional grounding in the 4th? How does malzahn get to argue a previous play after we've snapped the ball without challenging it? Yeah id say the refs were bad.....in their favor
