That is the place where the fans vandalized our team bus. Those Ark fans are different than what you see in Fayetteville. Most are the bottom of the barrell. Any normal Ark fan will tell you that. We went to Little Rock and then 2 years later go up to Fayetteville and had Ark fans apologizing when we mentioned going to LR.

I went there in 99 and little kids were yelling 17 State while we were walking to the game. I also saw shirts printed up that said Tennessee Sucks LSU Swallows. Make sure you remember where you park your car if the game is at night. Everything looks the same in the dark when you park on that damn golf course.

that's where you want to be. Peabody and marriot courtyard that usually have some rooms available late. Peabody is the team hotel.

You are 5-10 minutes from the stadium.

I would not stay close. There is a Hilton on University with in walking distance to the stadium that is ok. However, the area surrounding the hotel will not be after dark. If you plan on just going to and from the golf course/stadium, it will be fine. But if you plan on eating/drinking at a restaurant near the hotel, I don't recommend it.

I recommend staying downtown at the Courtyard. It is very close to what is called the River Market area. Which has places to eat and drink and party if you wish. There is a Hampton Inn near the River Market also and you can not beat the Peabody and Windham. This area is only 5-6 miles from the stadium.

Which, by the way, if you are staying downtown (or not), Markham does not turn into West Markham (the street the stadium is on). In downtown, 3rd Street is the actual street that turns into W. Markham. Find 3rd street and follow it all the way to the stadium. For those on the interstate traveling in, you can take the Broadway exit in downtown. Head south until you reach 3rd street, then head west to the stadium. I630 will backed up from an hour or so in to game time. If you get to the stadium exits on I630 at 10:30 am, you might not make it to your seat by kick off. Just FYI.

I lived in LR for about 3 years. You either want to stay downtown near the Rivermarket or in West Little Rock. There's great nightlife/dining on both sides of town if you're looking for that. The stadium is right off the interstate so really no matter where you come from it's not far. If you get there early enough you should park on/near the golf course and check out some of the tailgating. They do alright. Also if the Osborne family still does their free BBQ plate you should get in line for that...good stuff.
