Don't have the kids and just me and the wife, but don't know a thing about Little Rock.
Anybody got any advice? I think the team is staying at the Holiday Inn Express-Airport, but didn't know if it was better to stay downtown near the stadium.

stadium exit but it was very old. Downtown name brand hotels are good, easy walk to the Riverwalk and bars and a 10 minute drive to stadium w/ no traffic, not sure about gameday travel time. If not staying downtown, go to West Little Rock in Rodney Parham, I-630, Shackleford Rd area. Good hotels, good restaurants, stores and about the same drive to stadium.

You do NOT want to stay out by the airport. Not much out there and 10-12 miles from anything decent.

If you want to stay downtown, I recommend the Hampton Inn. New hotel with good rates, walking distance to the River Market area. Really, any hotel inthe River Marketarea is nice.Just depends on what you want to spend.

If your wife likes to shop and y'all care less about stayingdowntown, I would recommendthe HI Express on Talley (and their is another hotel right there too but I forget the name). It is near a new outdoor mall off Shackleford in west Little Rock. All the chain restaurants and shopping places are there. There are a few other nice hotels in that 630/Shackleford area too.

If you are on a budget and just want to crash, I recommend the Hampton Inn near McCain Mall in North Little Rock. Usually has cheaper rates and that is a decent area.

Little Rock isnot that big and the stadium and downtown are centrally located. So, it is an easy drive from Shacklefordor the McCain Mall area to either places.

We stayed there two years ago for the game and loved it. Was the team hotel then and probably will be again. Good downtown location with great Restaurants within walking distance. Nice trolly system. The Flying Fish is a good place to eat and it's just a few blocks down the street.

If the river walk is what you want let me suggest the Capitol Hotel. it is a 5-star hotel with first class everything. here is a picture of the hotel taken from the our Peabody room two years ago.
it is right across the street.

I've stayed in the Hampton (several times), Marriott Courtyard, and Peabody. All are very decent and well-located. The first two are relatively new (past 5-8 years, I'd say). The pic that Kim Jong posted includes a very, very well-liked restaurant: Ashley's at the Capitol. It's pretty fancy, but I hear the prix fixe is a steal for what you get. Look it up if you're a foodie.

I also like the Flying Fish (right next to aforementioned Courtyard), The Starving Artist Cafe (over the bridge in N. Little Rock), and Brave New Restaurant (a short drive and a ***** to find, but good). Lulav was good the one time I went. Loca Luna is pretty good.
