Live and Die

I usually sit quiet and read the Boards here but today I cannot sit idly by and not speak up. It is 100% apparent that this MSU basketball team completely lives and dies by the 3 pointer. We have one big man the rest are worthless. Varnado rings up 31 and we shoot 20.8% from 3 point land a few days after we shot like 60%.

Ravern, our leading scorer and the nations leading 3 point shooter, has been cold as ice the last 2 games... WHAT IS GOING ON!?

Our defense is absolutely pathetic. Varnado is the only threat we have on that end.

I know this team is young and will probably be the team to beat next year but at this point I am completely unimpressed with anythign they have done.

They had 4 tall physical guys on the perimeter. Ravern couldn't get a shot off. He is too soft. Randy got stuffed. Phil got stuffed. Bost had a bad night.

Jarvis was awsome. We make a few more ff's or a couple of close shots fall we were fouled on and create 3 point plays we win the game.

This team makes 3 pointers and we win...period...
You have to find ways to get the open 3 pointer if your team is going to Live and Die by the 3, otherwise we need another offensive game plan.
Stans knows this and he is going to continue to play out the season with the 4 guards and 3 point shooting...

Blocked Shots or not... we are still living on the 3 ball. I didnt watch it b/c I wasnt there and couldnt listen to it but i watched the stat tracker and its just weak man. Barry Stewart just plain sucked... I dont have the stats in front of me but did he even make 1 field goal all night? sure he was gold from the charity stripe but thats not going to win a game...

Trent had a good game-plan to give us the 2 point shot, he did not let our guards beat him with the 3 pointer...
Usually that would help MSU, but not this year... Can Osby just not finish in the paint?

moreso than because we missed 3s. At least the 2s were layups. I can't imagine anyone else that was actually at the game would disagree.

we hardly shot them at all. I agree, the missed layups and shorter shots killed us.
