I think most fans would have liked to see Russell be more productive today. Not be 'the savior,' the best QB in MSU history, throw for 300 yards, but just be productive and show some potential. Obviously, he had a bad day. I think most people are disappointed that our RS freshman quarterback, who is battling for the starting job, didn't have a better showing. I'm sure a lot of people who were able to make it to the game were expecting a lot more. That's all. You on the other hand, love it....because you get to win a message board argument. And while those people were disappointed by Russell's play, I seriously doubt they were upset that Relf played well and is going to be our starting QB (as he should be). Russell will be fine over time. It just appears that he is still having trouble with the speed of the college game. No big deal. We don't need him to be the #1 guy, yet.
