With regards to commercials in game etc.

Comment From JohnnyJohnny] I think it was discussed at the end of last year, but is there still a focused emphasis on decreasing advertisements on the video boards, especially those that detract from the atmosphere following big plays or during key situations in the game to allow for increased use of the PA music and band? (Related: do we plan to take full advantage of the new rule that allows for music/band up until the time the center stands over the ball?) <textarea style="width: 195px;" id="et1315266568" class="code" rows="3" name="et1315266568"></textarea>

Scott Stricklin:
Johnny - Any commercials (like you might see on your TV at home) will be limited to pregame, halftime and between quarters. During timeouts that occur during the quarters, no commercials will be shown. (Though there will be some 'sponsored elements,' such as the Play of the Game presented by Brand X).
This will allow our marketing/operations staff much greater flexibility to take advantage of the ebb and flow of the game, and make for a better fan atmosphere.

'sponsored elements'

So instead of Bullock Toyota we'll get something cheesy sponsored by Bullock Toyota. Great.

Agree 100%

This is the norm all around, sponsored segments... And, this will be so much better than loud, annoying advertisements.

if the opposing coach calls TO on a crucial 3rd and long

with the game on the line, and we have a toy car race sponsored by BP, that'll be ok?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure he's saying you'll see big plays, stat recaps, instant replays, and historical videos sponsored by whoever, not the car race.

Damn, I wanted a Physics of Football segment during a 4th Q TO driving the field.. . In all seriousness, I do hope it's a matter of element of timing to go along with the content placement, as you mentioned.
