Not that it means they will be good this year, but they have been respectable the past few seasons, I believe.

They will be much better than Vandy..The game shouldn't be close. I'm laying a huge bet on this one and I have always been against betting against a SEC team at home vs an out of conference opponent.

Not sure how long you have been handicapping but you should know there is no such thing as a lock.

8 out 10 locks are losers.

There are plenty of other games to place a big bet on rather than NW.

Im not wasting my time and $ on this game but only bet would be Vandy ML if had a gun to my head.

This IS the same Vandy that lost by double digits in 8 of their 12 games right? They were 2-10 last year and I don't think they've added anything spectacular that's going to bring them out of that. They had one of the worst offenses in college football. Croom would've been proud of that offense.

Does anybody really think that a "lock" will never lose? While there may not be such a thing as a true "lock," Northwestern over Vandy at only -3 is about as close as it gets.

It means you can't lose.

And if you are more than a square, that term never exits your mouth.

If you go use the term 'Lock' on some of these vegas forums, you will be pawned and laughed at, no matter the game.

Yall are thinking to complex.

I am not a vegas oddsmaker so I really do not care what they think about me using the word "Lock." Myusageof the wordis simply identifying what i believe to be the best gameof the weekend. I respect your opinionin saying you would take Vandy and the ML if you had a gun to your head; however, I believe this would be an absolutely terrible bet. Vandy will not win a SEC game this year and may not come within a touchdown. I will post one every week until I lose a game, then it's over.

So Vandy is not as bad as you thought they were. I enjoyed your 'Lock of the week' while it lasted. Actually I wouldn't mind if you still posted, then I can have my 'Fade Pick of the Week'.
