Awful quote.
No idea who that guy is, but his first impression via the Internet is terrible.
How does he think people(not just secularists, mind you) should act- quiet while they see a group being unjustly persecuted?
Come on.
I am sure he finds it repugnant that those who push for diversity do so with a force that shames some into silence. I will go out on a limb here, but I am pretty sure he is someone who hold views that would be seen as hateful and unjust to the 'secularists'. Shocker that he doesn't like the fact that people won't just let him treat a group of people poorly and that he cant shame the group without consequence.
Whether the topic is race, gender, age, religion, orientation, etc- if a group of people are being unjustly persecuted and are being discriminated, then those who support inclusion will be vocal against those who are doing the discrimination.
Cry all you want and call it repugnant that the inclusion supporters won't stay quiet in the face of discrimination, but it isn't going to change.
Replace the current topic, homosexuality, with racism against blacks 50+ years ago. Or replace it with the historic and ongoing hatred of Jews.
You can't actually support the idea that people who push for and demand equal treatment for blacks and Jews as compared to the rest of society(re: white males) is bad. Can you? No...you can't actually support that.
Of course you support the push for blacks and Jews to be treated equally and not be told they are a lesser people.
...now go ahead and place 'gay' where 'blacks and Jews' is. It should still read the same to you. But of course, it won't.
