I think the point was that she took a job in Gainesville while she has a husband that has a much more high profile job that isn’t nearly as mobile to a city like Gainesville on short notice. It is interesting for that reason alone. If true, Billy has to basically quit his job to be a stay at home husband (dad?) in the middle of his team’s season, have an extremely long distance relationship with his wife for at least the short term and possibly the really long term, or just straight up get a divorce. None of those options are great for him.

Billy's job may be more high profile in that people know who he is, but I wouldn't be surprised if her job pays better than a JUCO basketball coach. I'd also be willing to bet UF has pretty good on-campus childcare available, or that the school would pay for that. He might also find it easier to get on Mike White's staff with those kind of athletic department connections. I'd be more concerned about who the next EMCC coach will be than the state of their marriage.
