Good man. My post is all in good fun. My cousin really wanted to leave and I said pleas let’s wait one more series and that’s when the flag on the punt happened and then RU got the TD. If I was local I was gone so I don’t blame anyone.
I mean.
Our offense still only scored 20pts and 2 touchdowns - 1 off of a shortened field from the great ST play.
It was a great comeback and win but at some point our offense needs to not put us in this situations against these kinds of teams if we want to take the next step in the conference.
Especially as more teams are coming in.

My wife has t watched an RU game in 30 years. She sat down at the end of the 3rd quarter as I’m cursing them out and said don’t give up there’s still a chance. Each time we scored she said, see, they’re getting close. Once they took the lead she reminded me that she’s always right
Not gonna lie, we left down 24-6 after we went 3 and out. I was wet, cold, miserable and completely frustrated by our play. Car ride home listening on the radio I regretted the decision on giving up on them.
Cool, Iowa only scored 19 offensive points on them and we scored 20 pts.
Ok. So?
Iowa’s offense is a problem as well.

I'll admit it was easier to hang in there and watch the full game from my warm dry family room. That was a rough one to be in attendance for the first 50 mins
People should just keep it in the game thread, where it belongs, as emotional outbursts are expected in real time - it's just like recording what most of us were saying as we made bad plays or got robbed by the refs or thought the hot dogs were terrible. But starting new threads excoriating the players and staff when the game is still in doubt is just downright dumb and I don't know why people do it.
BTW- this is why sports can be so damn fun. The emotions of a game can just be a roller coaster in the dark. I don't think there was a game this year I was more disappointed for 2.5 qtrs. And a lot of it was because of refs that were going to cost us the game. And that damn fumbled punt at the 10 where he had to leave his feet to try to catch it.
But I have also never had such a 1 qtr rush like I had today either. The 2nd half of the 06 L'Ville game was like that bu in that game- even when the score got away- all of us just had a feeling.

Good grief can anyone just accept and be grateful for a win against a BIG team! We just had one of the most epic wins I. Program history. Way to go RU. Way to keep chopping?

Yes, we won with a furious comeback fueled by 2 great ST plays against a team that fired their HC.
None of that changes the fact our offense had another bad outing - which is what I was addressing.
Comments during the game about our offense weren’t all of a sudden misguided now because we had 1 TD drive not on a super short field.
