Long Shot Transfer...I'm going a long way to connect dots...

Miami has two young QB's Robert Marve and Jacory Harris both Freshmen this season. Miami used both and the offense sucks so bad there, they both look like crap every Saturday. If you think McCorvey sucks, watch Miami in the Emerald Bowl. Never has so much talent looked so bad. Hurricane fans hope the current stupidity in Auburn will result in Patrick Nix returning to Auburn as OC or something like that. Marve has two problems...one is Nix and the other is that all the players love Harris who is a local legend and is a leader to many underclassmen.

Anyhow, Miami's Marve (is believed) wants to leave and he likes UF, USF, and LSU as a destination. UF has two highly touted QB's behind Tebow...do you think Marve and the Marve family are not aware that Mullen is now at MSU with only Division III talent under center? Of course Jarrett Lee sucks in LSU, but they have the talented Jefferson kid behind him.

He would kick *** in D II. He is an ok QB. He is good enough to get us to Independence Bowl or something along those lines. He is usually smart with the football. If he was 6'3", he would be one of the better QBs in the league next year. As he was, I think 8th?

Lee for the job next year, i'd hardly say he has D-III talent. You guys are going to be surprised how effective Lee can be with good coaching...We need Russell to redshirt badly next year

Hell, he was adequate with Crxxm/McCorvey coaching him. He'll do fine with Mullen/Hudspeth as coaches. Wish I could agree with you about Russell. He needs to redshirt, no doubt. But with Carroll transferring, I don't think we'll have that luxury.

I have been saying this all along. I think Lee can be a serviceable QB with the right coaching

if they feel he can move the team should Lee get hurt and keep Russell 3rd string, that would help tremendously. Those two going through Spring practice with some good coaching will help tremendously

with better coaching, who knows? I think he is our insurance policy to redshirting Russell...if Lee goes down for with a big injury, the RS will come off of Russell anyway probably...

If anyone remembers Marves recruitment in highschool it was down to us and Alabama a few people thought he was going to come here right until Miami offered him a last second scolly so there is definite potential with him

Don't forget about the O-line, we really need to see how they will adjust to to new offense and coaching as well. The o-line will be a huge factor in determining how good Lee can be at QB

As long as we block for Lee he is a pretty good QB, if we can block long enough to let him complete his 3 step drop without turning and running for his life he was a very effective Quarterback.

Russell would benefit greatly from a year learning the complexities Mullen will bring and our line will be better by the time he starts as well.

next year. Essentially breaking Russell in slowly in certain situations while allowing Lee to be the starter. That way at least Russell could get some meaningful experience under his belt before taking over as a sophomore.

do you remember how big of a star Leake was? He was good before Mullen got there. The main difference was the addition of Tebow

i said similarities....meaning on a miss st. vs florida scale...im by no means suggesting lee will become a heisman hopeful but for where we are as a program i think he will provide some value until we can get our tebow
