I had shoulder surgery a few years ago and had to resort to being a lefty. That is WAY harder than you would think it is, had to replace my whole boxer wardrobe after a few weeks..............
I've had it twice, 20 years apart. You'd think the second time would be easier since I'd done everything left handed before. Nope. I managed to get everything done (wiping, shaving, showering & drying off), but it took about twice as long and a lot of concentration.

I’m somewhat ambidextrous. I shoot pool left handed. I shoot a shotgun left handed. I’m fairly capable left handed. But wiping my arse left handed is practically impossible. It’s like my left arm isn’t long enough.

I knew that it would be dangerous so I bought a bidet.

I shoot pool left handed as well. I’m left eye dominant but I still shoot a shotgun right handed. I have to close my left eye.

Something as simple as brushing your damn teeth is horrible left handed if you're a righty

I’m pretty sure that I was born left handed. My mom was left handed and said the world wasn’t designed for lefty’s. I still have vague memories of her slapping my hand any time I picked up something with my left hand. She wasn’t around when I learned to shoot pool or guns. I play ping pong lefty too.

Another fact. Shoulder/rotator cuff surgery sucks. Had it done 3 years ago next week and I am just recently fully functional in that shoulder. It’s still tight and I can’t throw a ball over 20 feet. There is no telling how many thousands of shoulder stretches and weight lifting sessions I have done, including today. Didn’t have a choice at the time but don’t ever want to do that again. TV cowboys used to get shot in the shoulder all the time and then after the commercials it would be fine. I’m calling BS on that.

I write right handed. I throw, shoot, kick, play golf, etc. left handed. I eat and brush my teeth with either hand. I barely notice switching but know I do it often because people have pointed it out when eating numerous times. Also, I am left eye dominant.

This should make you guess that my handwriting is horrific. You would be correct.

Fortunately both of my surgeries were faster recovery. But 3 years out from The second one it’s just in the last 6-12 months I’d say it’s 100%.
