This little piece is just digging for dirt though. There is no reason he needs to give the Col. Reb Foundation idiots a voice. It's a group of people who don't know that the battle is over.
It reminds me of the scene at the end of Scarface when Tony Montana's getting lit up by machine guns, but he's so coked out that he's screaming "I'm still standing. You think you kill me with bullets?" And yes, the issue is over. They could pull out a petition with signatures from every person in the state of Mississippi, and it wouldn't change anything.
ETA: And yes I know Veazey paints the Col. Reb cause as a lost cause, but I don't think it was necessary to write the article and give them a free advertisement for their "week".
