Looking at some 1st game matchups, looks to be some really good heavy weight matchups to want to go and see. Which game would you want to see. Add any more good ones if not listed below. Just listing some to start out with. .

8/22 Independence at Gaffney
8/22 Mallard Creek vs Rolesville
8/22 Hough vs RH South Point ( Bank of America Stadium)
Mooresville vs Weddington at Memorial Stadium) Unsure of date at this point.
8/22 Lake Norman vs Sun Valley
8/22 West Charlotte vs Grimsley

I cant wait to see what happens between West Charlotte and Grimsley. And I also love the NC vs SC heavyweight matchups. Hough really blew it last year vs RH Northwestern at BOA.

Page hasn't been a heavyweight since just before Covid. Nonetheless, Page @ Charlotte Christian is a cool match-up week 1 of the season. CC is probably a couple TD favorite goin in, but Page has many key positions returning with strong core foundation to build on.

My bad some reason I thought they were 7a.

I did too and was surprised when I saw they weren't. I think so many schools have seen increased enrollment to love up and that caused them to bump down to 6A.

Richmond @ Hoggard

Hoggard returns some nice pieces. They had a lot of injuries last year which built some depth and that will help this coming year. The defense will be strong and the passing game should be difficult to slow down. QB can throw it and run it. He will be the best QB in SE NC for sure. RC improved throughout the year and I expect them to be good this coming season and ready to play. This may be the first time RC has played @ Hoggard. I know it is the 1st time they have been to Braswell Stadium.

Seems they'll be young and inexperienced in varsity level.
Mt Tabor returns 1 starter on defense DB Jalen Davis. He has offers from GA St, Ferrum, and McPherson.
3 offensive lineman return on offense. They have to replace most skill positions. New faces that should make an impact Jamarius Hunder (jr RB), Kingston Brown (soph QB), Jayden Smith (soph LB), Taryton Thacker (jr DE), CoMaurey Harvey (soph WR), Amech Thompson (soph WR/DB), Joseph Malachi (soph WR)
