I think to have any shot, we have to win out and get in the championship game and have ole miss stay in the top 50.

While we may have 3 top 50 wins, we have no marquee win, and we have 2 horrible, horrible losses. And frankly, I don't care what their RPI is, I don't see the committee being that impressed with Old Dominion. Its going to take more than a win over TN.

I think you can take a loss at USC-Downey, and if you win the rest, including the win over UT, you'll be in good shape going into the SEC tourney at 10-6. You may need one more in the tourney to guarantee it, but I think 10-6 has you at worst on the bubble with a good chance, if not already in depending on how the rest of the bubble shakes out.

...and then we probably need to get at least 1 in the tourney. That would put us at 10-6, probably division champs with a good, late season win. I think that's enough.

And I think it would help us more for Ole Miss to fall off so that we can get their spot in the tourney than them continuing to win.

if olemiss falls out of the top 50 (which they have on warrennolan), that would give us 2 Top 50 RPI wins. That won't get us in.

we only have 1 road win against a top 100 team so a loss there just cements the idea that we are an average team to the committee. Winning home games is not impressive.

.....it just seems more logical to me that the committee has a better chance of taking us if we are the 5th SEC team in the pecking order, rather than the 6th. If it's possible for both to happen, that's what needs to happen. It's a long shot anyway. I still say we'll really struggle at Auburn. They are a tough matchup for us.

a win at LSU and hopefully a win vs Ala at home puts us at 8-5. Frankly, I do not see us beating SC there and I think Au takes us at Auburn. We need to split Aub/SC and be 9-6 going into the TN game. Then we need to beat TN for a quality win and perhaps we get in then with two SEC tourney wins. That way we finish with 24-10 and have a shot to get in. Otherwise, we are NIT bound, in my opinion. The only other chance is we get inwith 23 wins is IF a key bubbleteam slides down the stretch.
