If the new trend with the NCAA Selection Committee is the year long approach, then do we need to go in a new direction as far as a head coach?

Let me be clear, this is not a bash Stans thread. I think these last three games showed he can coach, prepare, and have teams ready to play when it counts. However, it now counts year round. No longer can you warm up to get hot in the end, which is Stans trademark. Maybe Stans can change his approach and have the guys ready to go out of the gate, but tradtionally that isn't so. I guess next year and 2012 will provide the proof, especially if he gets the Magnolia Five.

We need to schedule road games at Michigan State, Syracuse, Duke, Kansas, etc. without a return game. And in doing so, we should go ahead and drop to CUSA or SunBelt. Our problem is that we need HOME games to be able to make money as a program, even if it is against the Sisters of the Poor. However, the big boys will NOT come to Starkville and play a home and home.

No we dont have to go with a new coach.

We have to just improve scheduling- no need toset aGonzagaesque non-conference schedule, just get Centenary and crap off the list. Take the worst 5 teams in terms of RPI(they will consistently be bad, wont be hard to find em) and schedule 5 teams that are in the 150s or so consistently. We will(should) still beat them and our RPI will be better.

We have to bring in 2011 recruits that can IMMEDIATELY fill the voids that will be left next season.

Just a couple things and we can be back to not only competing for divisional titles, but also be respected as a national player.
