Looks like ESPN is using AI to write articles...

The author is "data skrive". And the snippet at the bottom reads "The Associated Press created this story using technology provided by Data Skrive and data from Sportradar."

Im only pointing this out not to shock anyone that ESPN is using AI to write articles of this nature, moreso to highlight that its bad. Evidently this is the first Nebraska and Illinois are playing this year. I didnt bother fact checking anything beyond that.

But if you find yourself reading an article on ESPN regarding analytics, check the "author" first before you put total faith in it.

Good thing I don't read or watch anything ESPN, other than an NU game if it's on.

ESPN is a hwhore to the SEC. Just like football, they are doing their typical "pump up the conference" for the NCAA basketball tournament. It's pathetic.

The comedy? The highest ranked SEC school is ranked #15.

The AP wrote this with AI, not ESPN. They just ran it like 100% of dailies in this country do on the wire.

It’s literally right there in your post, OP

What a moron

We always thought AI would kill us off with machines, cyborgs, etc. Turns out their plan is to generate stories that make us too dumb to function.

As a manager of a large volume production facility I absolutely hate when vendors or applicants or customers use AI. Shows me how weak they are. I would much rather receive messages that have poor grammar but hit relevant points than some pretty email void of original thought

As always, your genius somehow manages to miss the actual point of the OP, and instead focuses on whatever random inaccuracy you've decided to split hairs with.

Okay bud. Its the AP and not ESPN. The point of "be wary of analytics authored by this" remains.

My word you must have the tiniest of peens to find a way to turn literally anything into an argument.

This AI slop is going to have to get much better because I reject it out right.

For example, theres an AI lead gen commercial I see on YouTube for auto insurance that I detest. This slick silver fox is blathering on about how Nebraska is the worst state for insurance rates. Then he tells us he has a friend ‘Roger’ in Omaha that cracked the code to get a lower rate. Really? It’s insulting. I assume everything from that point on is lies since the entire premise is dishonest

Wonder where the striking from the unions are like the film industry.
