I think a good portion of us on here said he was an idiot for not taking, but we all knew in the end he was gonna take it anyway. I cant believe Scott Boras thought Manny would get something better than that. I dont think any baseball player, or any sports figure is worth that much per year, but thats the way of sports now.

it was the deferred money. Dodgers brass was trying to defer payments over 5 years on a 2-year deal with no interest. Manny wants the $45M paid over 2 years.
