Which would be inevitable being a recruit of his caliber.<div>
</div><div>I ultimately think we are in good shape with him. He still speaks very highly of us, but it's just going to be a fight to get him... which I'm sure our coaching staff already knew.</div>

and also I had heard that Mullen is now wanting guys that commit to us to shut down their recruiting given the soap opera we went through last year with the Bears and their shenanigans.

I believe it was 3-4 weeks back when your sites were reporting Evans was about to commit.

Around that same time, Yancy was saying not to be surprised if he held off on committing. He has also said all along that no matter what happens with Evans, whether he commits somewhere or not, his recruitment won't be over until after the official visit period in January. He expects him to make a commitment before football season, but doesn't feel it will be anything close to a done deal.

I've chastised Yancy as much as anyone, but with this current staff in place, he's been spot on most of the time.

Evans will commit to MSU. However, after another *** beating in the Egg Bowl, and while the Bulldogs are whipping up on some Aggie tail in the Cotton Bowl, Evans will mysteriously de-commit on a trip to San Antonio for the Under Armour All American game. Evans will then be chastized on Facebook by Bears purporting to be Bulldogs, only to sign with the Bears in February. After signing day,the Bulldogs will be the beneficiaries of some 3 year starting DT from a lesser conference that is looking to further his graduate education in Starkville.

Sound about right Bruiers?

Recruiting season is my favorite! I'm not a big football fan, but I just love following the lives of these 17-18 year olds as they pick the college that will give them the tools to succeed!!**!!**!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*

are not totally lost after making a commitment somewhere else because he has the info from the "heppers" to know which recruits will get their offers "upped" in the last month of recruiting if so needed. So yea, from that perspective he is worth paying attention to.

It's almost as if Yancy has some type of connection to someone who can almost guarantee what a prospect is going to do. It's as if Yancy's connection somehow can influence or control what a recruit is going to decide and when he is going to decide it. Very strange.

Regardless of how he knows it or why, he was right about it, and he was right about it 3-4 weeks ago.

Even Isaid he wouldn't commit to any school yet. Wow that guy is a genius.

The guy is better than Rosebowl I'll give him that but that really doesn't mean much. They make educated guesses at best. Sometimes they have better info from the coaches, sometimes they know what's going down with outside influences (family, street agents, drivers etc...), sometimes they just get lucky.

effort with the coaches and boosters. Unlike Rosebowl who sees himself as a professional who will not cross the line and become a true recruiter.

Let's face it, Yancy is part of the recruiting effort at Ole Miss and seems to be pretty effective. Is it legal, well I guess it is. Is it ethical? Probably not but until the NCAA comes out and puts the brakes on his ******** approach we will be forced to live with it and unfortunately I do feel it is working with some recruits.

It will be interesting to see what impact Mullen's new approach about what a committment means will have on this whole scenario. My guess is UM will try and spin it to their favor by saying we are so comfortable that Ole Miss is the right place for you we encourage you to go out and see what other universities have to offer because we know you will come back.

Do I have that about right Yancy?

** Idon't think Yancy is a cheater I just think they have totally different styles and quite frankly Yancy appears to be pretty effective. Yancy reminds me of an ambulance chasing attorney whereas I would put Rosebowl in the boring corporate lawyer category. Is that better?

"rosebowl is a professional" line. that one just takes the cake. neither of them is a "professional" anything. they're 30 yr old adolescents who chase high school recruits. the simple fact is that yancy is better at it than rosebowl. rosebowl hasn't had a clue in yrs. doesn't make yancy walter cronkite either but "rosebowl is a professional" stop, i can't stand it!!!!!

Yancy kicks Gene/Rosebowl's *** at knowing what's going on. It doesn't look like they're nearly as plugged in to Mullen's staffas they were to Crxxm.

Yancy is better at it and pushes the envelope. Maybe Steve is just too lazy to put forth the type of effort Yancy does but whatever the case I wish the NCAA would put a stop to all of the ********. If not then we need to find our version of Yancy, is Derick available?

I am still completely amazed that people actually believe that story put out about Robert Elliot. I don't think I have ever read anything else in my life that was on that level of ********, and every year I still see ole miss fans post about it like it actually happened. Are you all retarded? Seriously?

So now can you just safely drop the whole "I really don't follow recruiting" front and just admit you sit in front of the computer with Yancy's board pulled up and drool on the keyboard from December to February? Seriously.. you are not fooling anyone.
