a rain out may not be the worst thing though Im not convinced Florida is as good as hyped.
Was there an explanation on why Stratton was pulled last night? Pitch count?
Forida has already beaten Miami of Florida and FSU. They made a SR last year and had the top rated class in the country last year per Baseball America.
They're pretty talented- but they're young. That's why they may not look as good as hyped.
People have to remember that three of our eight losses so far have been to top 10 teams on the road or at a neutral site, four of our eight have been to top 15 teams, and seven of our eight have been to top 30 teams. We may not be all that great, but I don't think anyone in their right mind- even the coaches- thought that we are a top 10 team.
Whatever happens today, this upcoming week is huge for us. We must beat Memphis, and we really need to take two out of three from Georgia at home. In my opinion, today is our best chance to beat UF. We're throwing Routt, and rumor is that the coaching staff is trying to get him back to his old form but we'll see, and UF's normal third starter took a line drive off of his head and won't pitch today, so they will likely be sending their midweek guy out there, and on top of that UF used their closer last night and we made him work a little bit.
