I'm going to be upset if I go by that area and Suttle is gone and I never knew about it being taken down..
They are only putting the outside fence so far..Im sure the green tarp will be next

I have heard about it finally being torn down for what seems like three years or so. I haven't seen anything official on it except for the pictures. Is anything going there? I know they talked about a parking garage or another dorm at one point. Thought some of you might have the inside info? Im just happy as hell its finally about to be gone.
They are going to do in over about a month period. They are going to be removing the asbestos this week and then they are going to use a wrecking ball and take it down a little at a time. It will be down by the time Freshmen move in in August, but not fully cleaned up yet.
Ina meeting I attended with McGreevy,President sitting nearby,suggested thesite wouldcontain abuilding for teaching with a large auditorium.The concern was not enough teachingclassrooms with the large number of students coming to campus. He acted like that was a real possibility. No one else in the meeting repeated or supported his statement so who knows for certain. I thought they were talking about the parking garage across the street below the Post Office,
sentenced to do time in the maximum security pen known as Suttle. Fortunately, I did short time in the Hamlin country club. Still remember the bottle rocket attacks between the two hell holes. One guy even shot off an arrow from a hunting bow. It hit the side of Shuttle but it scared the **** out of a bunch of guys. Good times.
its downright creepy on gameday on the inside. They have the doors open for restroom access. With the darkened hallways, the overall interior design and paintjob and that weird smell that has been there forever its like being in some mental hospital from a horror movie. I'm in and out of there ASAP all the while expecting someone in a straightjacket to slam their drooling face into the window of a door as I'm walking running down the hall or some guy in surgical garb carrying a skull saw coming around the corner in front of me. I swear all it would takewould be a scream that was cut short or some crazy laughter in there and I would lose it.
