they were the better team. we can all relax in this regard. i just wish we had these umps and this mentally challenged ull team. perhaps this is the type of team cohen should be recruiting.
pinpoint accuracy pitching vs smoke and mirrors
players that can hit vs players that cant
speed and power vs bunting and singles
sums it up nicely i think...we have let some players slip through our fingers for sure...that is obvious. im sure some will complain an cry that i have been unfair, and cohen has had some SERIOUS handicaps in the grand scheme of things, but we need to improve significantly.

Looking like a pretty weak bracket this year. I do think Virginia is probably the best team but if OM beats them, they could be in the same position we were in last year.
I don't think you're unfair just short sighted. We were in the national championship series last year. It has taken bianco 14 years to get here. It took Cohen 5. No rational person would want Cohen to do an about face just cause OM makes the CWS.
I don't want Cohen to do an about face because UM just made the CWS. I just want him to quit recruiting a team full of 5'9" 160 lb weaklings at the plate. He's done a great job at MSU, but it makes me sick to hear commentators say that we look like a high school team out there and know that they're right.
as a state fan, we all know how hard it is to get to the series final, so im not trying to devalue that, but i think we all know that we were playing a bit above our head last season. it was an amazing run and the team did things that they had not the entire season before, i just think its apparent that we need to step our game up.
