Looks like the Saints need some help to get the 2 seed

NFL guys, correct me if I am wrong.....

Tied with the Niners at 10-3. First tiebreakers is head to head, but they didn't play.

Second tiebreaker is conference record. Saints are 6-3, Niners are 8-2. If Saints win out to go to 9-3 (Minnesota, ATL, Carolina), then they could jump the Niners if SF were to lose to Seattle and St. Louis, or tie them if the lose one of those two.

If they end up tied in division record, the next tiebreaker is common games, minimum four. They would have four teams in common with the Niners: Detroit, Giants, Tampa, and St Louis. Both the Saints and Niners beat Detroit and the Giants. The Saints are 1-2 against Tampa and the Rams. Niners are 2-0 with 1 to play, so they are going to win the tiebreaker if it gets to this.

If all this is right, the Saints have to have a better overall record at season's end, since to win the conference record tiebreaker they have to make up a game too.

I sure would like to avoid GB until the NFCCG, and get the Niners in the Dome AND have a week off.

but San Fran has Pittsburgh as well.

I see the Saints winning out (@Minn, Atlanta, Carolina) and San Fran losing at least one and possibly two. (Pittsburgh, @Seattle, @St. Louis). I could see them losing to Seattle.

Whether they are 2 or 3, they still wouldn't play GB til the NFC Championship. As a 3 they are looking at hosting Detroit and then on the road at SF. Whereas if they flipped spots with SF, they'd get a bye and then host the winner of SF/Detroit. Neither option is really all that bad. The Saints, you would hope, could take care of business against these 2 teams who havent been to the playoffs in ages.

if the Saints win out, the niners just have to lose 1 game to anyone and the saints go b/c the Saints would then have the best overall record.

Were my eyes deceiving me or was the spot that the Titans got on their 4th down play towards the end of the game awful? When they showed a replay of the surge from the left sideline viewpoint, it looked like Locker had the ball past the first down marker by at least a foot and a half. The Saints may have still won regardless, but I couldn't believe that the spot wasn't challenged.

i thought it was too close to call on the toe. But I thought the argument if anything was that he seemed to still be trying to gain control of the ball when he finally went out of bounds without doubt.

There had to be at least 4-5 huge plays for both teams that were taken away because of a questionable holding call or something else. It was a really oddly officiated game.

But I guess the thing I couldn't understand moreso than the spot itself was why Munchak didn't challenge it. Unless he was out of challenges, it would have been well worth the risk of losing a TO at that point in the game.

you have the graham td and his knee looked down to me

my gosh and all the flags

saints db need their asses kicked after the last couple of weeks, my gosh how do you let that tenn wr get so open down to the goal line and greer WRAP his *** up the game is on the line ...i about lost my **** on that play. and then for tracy porter to knock that ball away, haven't seen that kind of play from porter since his superbowl return ...we need them all to step up in the next couple of weeks

and lockers td was bogus he was 6 yards out of bounds by the time he got to the pilelon, but they kept showing if from the back of the endzone and you could tell where it was along the goaline... it was crazy, he may have gotten in, but I don't believe he did ...i would love to see a picture of that.

it on TV, but the back judge threw the flag. He just dropped it on the ground beside him after Sproles broke into the open. He was 60 yards from where he called holding. On top of that, he called it holding during the kick. WTF ?
