NFL guys, correct me if I am wrong.....
Tied with the Niners at 10-3. First tiebreakers is head to head, but they didn't play.
Second tiebreaker is conference record. Saints are 6-3, Niners are 8-2. If Saints win out to go to 9-3 (Minnesota, ATL, Carolina), then they could jump the Niners if SF were to lose to Seattle and St. Louis, or tie them if the lose one of those two.
If they end up tied in division record, the next tiebreaker is common games, minimum four. They would have four teams in common with the Niners: Detroit, Giants, Tampa, and St Louis. Both the Saints and Niners beat Detroit and the Giants. The Saints are 1-2 against Tampa and the Rams. Niners are 2-0 with 1 to play, so they are going to win the tiebreaker if it gets to this.
If all this is right, the Saints have to have a better overall record at season's end, since to win the conference record tiebreaker they have to make up a game too.
I sure would like to avoid GB until the NFCCG, and get the Niners in the Dome AND have a week off.
