Looks like there is more to the Mirando story.

I've heard rumors, but in case they're wrong I don't want to

say a kid's name. The rumor I heard could end up causing us to lose or suspend one of our top recruits, star-wise, from this last class.

This is gonna suck. He says current player so I'm assuming he's on the roster. So, if violations were committed then wouldn't the player be suspended as well, pending the investigation??

So, with the rumors you have heard, coud it result in any kind of probation, scholly loss? How serious?

It depends on if WE reported it...and I think we did, bc

that is the reason I'm hearing Mirando was forced out. Once again, my knowledge is second hand, so it could be way off....but I'm hearing that Mullen became aware of something Mirando had done regarding a player, and Mullen forced Mirando out....so I'm hoping this public knowledge is based off of Mullen immediately reporting what he found out. If that's the case, the program should be fine but th player could be in trouble.

No, it's not Quay or Nick James if the rumors I'm hearing

are true. But a guy that would likely be starting next year

Depends...

We reported the issue to the NCAA a while back. We went through all the proper steps to clear it up with the NCAA. Unfortunately, media pressure is going to force the NCAA's hand in this. We could have come out relatively clean if the media didn't get a hold of it.

I look for us to get hit pretty hard since we make a good whipping post. After all, they're still mad at Penn State.

Considering his coverage area...

...there's one person who comes immediately to mind if I'm thinking correctly.

FWIW, the central figure in all this mess in Tn has 2 players at OM and one more they heavily recruited that is committed to Tn, as well as at least one at State and one at Vandy, as well as the guy that just got dismissed from Auburn because of the transcript change. This figure has put over 60 players into college programs, including practically everywhere in the SEC. You can bet that IF we get in trouble for this(which we won't), half the SEC will be going down with us. Also was rumored(before this latest round of investigation) to be taking a job at OM in the spring(think how Freeze got his original big break).

We aren't going to get in any kind of serious trouble with this. Mild slap on the wrist absolute worst case. When was the last time SEC handed down a major penalty for recruiting infractions? Been a long time...

De'Vinner is not the bad guy in all of this.

Although he looks the part, for the most part he is innocent. He knows what has transpired and told the NCAA during the Robinson interrogations.

Once again, thank Auburn.

Based on picture alone, I would say Renardo could have gotten us some intel on this guy from the cafeteria last year. ****. #MissedOpportunity

Yeah, some friends told me about this days ago... but I was really hoping it'd just blow over. ****. Get ready to boo the hell out of Derek Dooley and the Vols this October.

C'mon man. I'm just trying to make a name for myself by running with whatever rumor is hot at the time. The same reason some Golfer chick had her photos posted all over the Internet earlier this week.

So we can throw a womans name out there who lives in Florida and drag it through the mud, and call her a ho.....but we can say what the hell Mirando MIGHT have done or why we are saying "boo" the vols? Come on message board heroes, spill it.

Are we sure Mullen had no clue what was going on? Seems like it could be a "throw him under the bus" kind of situation...

Basically, Tennessee is said to be the one that turned us in. Doesn't surprise me that this broke the same day as the Da'rick Rogers story did. Schadd was probably on the phone with Dooley and in order to deflect attention he dropped this to him. I have heard a 6 game suspension for the player and it involves an improper benefit that the kid no longer has or received.

However, I don't believe that MSU fans should boo Dooley, he was just doing his job as every other coach in this league should. I don't care if every school in the conference cheats, I don't want MSU involved. We have been down that road before and it is the wrong road and could ruin our university. I don't want cheaters on our staff, and I don't blame Dooley for turning us in. In fact, I applaud it, and expect the same from every other SEC institution.

A prominent TN booster spilled the beans on JoVon Robinson's changed transcripts to get into Auburn(how he had this info, who knows). Robinson was then kicked out of Auburn. That led the NCAA to question his 7 on 7 coach that has coached about 60 other d1 football players, including the one in question on our roster, who was recruited by Mirando.

Thusfar, that is how they are "tying this together." It is still a stretch at this point, and hasn't been confirmed from any source(other than Schad at this point, who can not be considered reliable based on historical mistakes and inaccuracies). IF we were under SERIOUS NCAA scrutiny, we would have received a notice of investigation, which is a matter of public record easily attained by anyone. No one has confirmed any such document. IF we were firing Mirando under this pretense, we would not have allowed him to "resign under personal reasons." We would have "fired him due to allegations in an ongoing NCAA inquiry." Alot of pieces in this puzzle are still not fitting.

That's why those of us that have known about these allegations have chosen to remain quiet(yes, Coach knew this). Because talking about it can do nothing but damage MSU, especially given how our fans react to such news, and even moreso when there is a "little smoke" but NO FIRE, not yet.

This coach has players at every school in the SEC. We aren't going to be singled out here. If there is an investigation ongoing, it likely includes half the conference, if not more....

There is protocol involved(going through the SEC offices with formal complaints). If Dooley leaked this to Schad, especially as part of an ongoing investigation, Slive will fry him...

True, but I have no info on that, just a theory and hunch.
