For so many reasons this team should have made it to Minneapolis, it would have been a story worth watching on repeat forever. But life doesn’t always work out. Which really puts things in perspective. We sit on an internet board discussing a sport and a particular program. We forget that these athletes have real lives like the rest of us. We see missed shots and we wonder what is wrong athletically. We forget that these athletes have bad days, that they struggle with life issues and that they are human too. Just some food for thought before the next time we accuse a college athlete of sucking.

But word on the street is RJ and Zion made him. If not for them he would never have achieved a historic assist/to ratio.

Bless their hearts. He may get more assists next year because he will be the primary ball handler and not someone that just bring the ball up the court

A lot of this was what @dukehokie and I were trying to get across on the latest podcast we dropped on Monday. People forget these are just kids- and how insanely hard it is to win and how incredibly unlucky some bounces go and you’re done just like that. If you don’t stop to appreciate the process you’re never going to be happy. Otherwise just watch the last six games of the year and make blowhard blanket statements until your blue in the face. It’s why, no matter how disappointed i am still, the first thing i said after the loss to MSU, “i just feel bad for Tre”. He wanted that so bad- we wanted it for him, but that pales in comparison to how bad his coaches, family and teammates wanted it for him. We are so lucky to have another season out of him and for that we should be thankful. Run your own race.
