Does Watford come only if Bolden leaves? I'd rather have a senior Bolden. I'm excited. Hopefully 2 big news stories for us tonight!

Do yall still go after a veteran grad transfer to go with Jones. Lineup of Javin, Jones and a grad transfer would mix well with the other freshman coming in.

I think we're good if we land Hurt. Tre, Moore, Hurt, Carey and Javin. Bolden (hopefully), Baker, White, Ellis, AOC, Goldwire for bench. If Bolden leaves maybe Watford to add another big body. But I'm hoping Bolden stays.

I think we'll be okay.(Assuming we have Tre and Hurt). Tre, Moore, Javin, those guys can defend. We'll shoot better but not be as good on defense. Bolden will help if he returns. That looks like an Elite 8 team to me(sorry if too soon), perhaps more with some luck. Boogie may be the odd guy out if Tre returns. Unless he exceeds expectations.

I'd love to have Tre back for his experience. He'll know what to expect next year and help steady a young team in pressure situations. On top of that, he's a really good kid and plays defense with a passion.

Wendell, Hurt (is we get him...we will), Alex, Joey, Jack, Boogie, and maybe an improved Tre. Maybe. This SHOULD be a better shooting team. But they make up for in that department, I really doubt the defense is equivalent. That’s my worry, Tre or not.

A lot of scouting reports have Wendell down as a defensive minded wing. Reddish may have a couple inches on him but like you told me earlier he has a huge wingspan. I’m thinking he’ll replace Cam defensively. Carey is also noted as a solid defender (thank god we ain’t playing 2-3 zone to hide the fact our center can’t play defense)

We aren’t going to be as good defensively as this year, but I still think it’ll be solid. I’ll trade a little defense for shooting...

Would be huge to get a soph Tre. I think he will be an even better leader and floor general. I think he will improve his shot (I mean he has to).

Assuming the team shooting improves, the keys will be whether this team can defend and it’s toughness. TT is a great example of what defense and toughness can do in the tourney.

Team looks good on paper but it’s difficult to know if it comes together chemistry-wise and defense/toughness-wise.

I hope so. You’re right about the scouting reports. I’m praying the execution and tough-mindedness will be there as well.

Nah we need some playing time experience

I hear you, but I differ in opinion. If the pieces fit well together, the experience wouldn’t be a big factor, especially considering most of next season’s support players have gotten that experience we covet so much.

I don’t view the experience as much as a necessity vs. “do the parts complete a whole?” The problem with starting freshmen becomes a question of do the guys compliment each other. In 14-15, they complimented each other. One guy’s strength enhanced another guy’s strength.

Whereas in 16-17, I think the team’s strengths took away from certain players. And not bench players, but key guys. Tatum’s one on one game took away from Kennard and Allen’s ability to score off of ball movement. Luckily for Luke in particular, he didn’t let it affect him, because he had plays drawn up for him specifically. From a team standpoint that sucks, because now you have two separate ISO’s taking up a large percentage of the team’s touches. That group had plenty of experience.

I’m rambling but the cliffs notes version is, experience is fine if it’s good and complimentary. If it isn’t, it works no better than a group of uber-talented freshmen thrown together.

Yeah, I get why people are excited but all it really says is that he seems undecided. I'd still be shocked if Tre returns. It would be a pleasant surprise.

Our D was good this year, but up and down at times. We had great individual defensive ability throughout our lineup. But, we also had a lot of breakdowns assignment/communication wise and didn't always play good team D because of that. Goins 3 and our poor transition D was a perfect example of that. Our athletic ability and length and Zions freakish abilities and effort made up for a lot of our breakdowns.

Careys D and discipline very well could be the key to our season. He has the length and athletic ability to be a great defender. Key is, does he have the intangibles?

Uh, it would be very strange if he posted this and didn’t come back, You skeptics.

Ok, but what if something happens between now and the deadline? He could still leave. This post isn’t in cement. I’m just saying, before we get our hopes up, let’s get something concrete from him instead of trying to decipher his social media message. That’s all.

Agreed...think most are jumping the gun over a picture that could mean about anything....but most seeing it the way they want it to happen(him coming back)

I mean I guess but if he’s not 99% sure he’s coming back that’s the weirdest thing to ever post. Then again Jabari Parker did a weird karaoke thing on ESPN singing “should I stay or should I go” so

Kids change their minds all the time. Here's hoping Tre won't. If indeed he has made up his mind. I posted earlier this week I don't think we're elite without Tre returning. So I'm hoping. If Tre and Bolden return we have a shot at being the team we were this year. The team we were, not the team we were hyped to be.

And I really want Tre back, but we should allow him and his family the space to make a life altering decision. It’s only been a week.

Whatever decision he makes, I’d support him any way.
