I think we are making too big of a deal about Minchey. Lagaway would be great in a 60/40 run/pass offense. Dude is a great runner and hard to bring down.

Look, Rhule is on the side of the road, dying. All money aside we will find out about him. His leash is very short and he may just find himself with a mistress or mystery illness as a means to break the contract. We are on the precipice of greatness. Always remember it’s the darkest before the dawn. You need a failure like Rhule to become great. Yes, we’ve had multiple failures but I believe this next guy won’t be a fan hire. It will be tactical, it will be a guy who is coming here to go to work - not chasing a pay check. No more of those

We need a QB who happens to be athletic. Not a guy who's athletic who can sort of throw. And when the first half of the highlight tape is nothing but running - makes me a little nervous
Read this guy can't can't throw accurate, especially deep, by a guy who's followed him since his days at Virginia. He said he'd take Chiles over him 👀 🤷‍♀️

He threw for 3,459 yd's (14th in the country), 23 TD's, 9 Int. and yes, he can run. He had a 149.5 QB rating.
(Chiles threw for 1,392 and had a 66.9 QB rating)
The only issue some people will have, is that he's only 6 ft tall. Not a big issue for me.

I believe he would be a better QB at NU than Minchey would. I would definitely take him over Chiles.

Ill have to try and find some UNLV full games to watch on YT. But there are so few throws in that highlight reel, it concerns me.

None of our options are game changers. What we are in reality looking at are guys who can give us depth at the QB spot. Lateef is serviceable as a kind of six win QB, but without a portal guy if he goes down we are in deep Kim Chi. If the QB's being talked about are our real options we are looking at treading water next year without much progress. All that said, if we get one of these guys AND significantly upgrade our offensive and defensive lines then we might be looking at some real progress.

We NEED a RT more than a portal starting QB. LOVE that this guy has a bunch of starts.

Colandrea looks like a playmaker and gunslinger in my my opinion. My one concern isn't deep ball accuracy, but if he could take the beating over a full season.

If we don’t fix right tackle it doesn’t matter who our QB is. Maybe a healthy Gottula is that guy but I would feel better if we could grab a starting RT in the portal.

I say hire UNLV's passing coordinator. They have receivers running wide open all over the place in those highlights. Don't have to be accurate if you can scheme guys that wide open.

Watched about 80% of the UNLV games last year since I live in Vegas and every game was fun. Mullen did a great job in the portal offensively to basically flip the roster after Barry Odom left. The defense was a disaster, however, so every game was a shootout.

Colandrea was just a winner. Wouldn't always look the prettiest but he just made plays to get the job done. They'd start out down 10-14 points seemingly every game and then Colandrea would have to be near perfect the rest of the game because of how bad the defense was. He did have some bad turnovers at times but always responded.

UNLV is mad because he said he was staying then bailed to the portal after the bowl game. Would rather have Colandrea over Minchey as a dual threat QB since I've seen him play and respond to adversity.

Don't really care about QB2 if we don't have lines that can compete in the B1G. Doesn't matter if you have Brady or Mahomes back there if we can't protect the QB and run the ball effectively we'll be screwed next year.

we need competent 3 qb's...I can't think of too many years we went all the way thru with the starting qb not geting injured...

I just don't see it with Gottula. Maybe he was injured all year, but he is Corcoran II in my opinion. He is a guard at best. Agree, go get a proven commodity!
