high school prospect in Mississippi- some will argue Mason Robbins is, but regardless Woodruff is in the top two. He plays at Wheeler of all places- he is about 6'4" and he can throw in the low 90's and he has a wicked slider. He made the Under Armour All-American Game, which is like the McDonald's All-American Game for baseball players.
Woodruff also is an outfielder- he led the state in intentional walks. He can hit for power and average, and he has decent speed. He has to work on his defense a little bit. I think he will be an instant impact type player if he goes to school.
The only thing I'm worried about is how well he can make the jump from 1A baseball to SEC. See Hunter Renfroe- but I think both will be very good players when it's all said and done.
To me, he looks like a closer/right fielder. He is a big MSU fan, so we have that going for us.
