groove102.com for the Heritage perspective. I think the pregame is 30 min prior

I think wbrg will also cover the game. www.meridx.com then search for wbrg. I think the pregame is 45 min prior.

Hard to believe the Heritage fan base is so small and nobody streams it on facebook.

Heritage is winning with 2.3 sec left 42-39. LB scores def TD when Heritage fumbles snap in Victory formation kneel down. This second half was crazy. Not sure how either matchups up with Phoebus. Blake has been outstanding for Heritage and Hunter Rice maybe the best sophomore in Virginia from Lord Botetourt.
Heritage finally won.

Jabari Blake put the team on his back!!! Chris “Can’t guard me” Megginson with several big plays!

Hunter Rice is a MAN! Made the plays for LB on both sides of the ball and has 2 more years left? That’s crazy.

Has anyone ever thought of the fact that Heritage doesn’t have a fan base? We knock them way too much on here.

You’re right about people talking about Heritage fans. Funny thing is, no one from Heritage cares or even knows what the people on here think about their fans LOL. Clearly it doesn’t effect how they play. The “Heritage fans don’t support them” Horse has been dead a looong time but it’s still being beaten.

Awesome game. Congrats to both teams on the best playoff game at City stadium this season. Heritage made the plays to win. Blake was the best player on the field and he carried them .Rice and Eller for lb were great as well .I credit Lb with mixing up their play calling to get them back in the game. LB should hold their heads high and Heritage should be well tested heading into next week. Proud to say I was at that game.

that horse gets beat often because it's really the only loss anyone feels confident their team can give heritage. They are an outstanding football team. Well coached and the fans that are there every week are loud.

Exactly. Most of these just wish their team was winning like Heritage.

The reason Heritage gets attention here is they are winning. They have so few parents that care anything about the sports. Sad.

I disagree that “so few parents...care anything about sports.” Attending games is the simplest and last way to show that you care. A lot of HHS athletes come from middle or lower class socioeconomic backgrounds so parents aren’t always able to get off work to attend games. We don’t see the money and time parents spend investing in their children’s sports.

Cant agree with that at all. Small school teams like Appo have a great fan base and they fall directly into the economic situation you speak of.

Ok. That's one school. Every community is not the same.
I can name plenty more but im sure you know already. I dont know why lynchburg schools dont have a fan base. I do remember back in the day when city stadium would be filled full in the 70's.

No mater how we say it or whatever reason, Heritage has no fan base. Went to see the Rustburg-Heritage first round region game and Heritage has 35 fans 5 minutes before game time. Brookville is a mile up Timberlake Road has tons of fans. There has to be a reason for the lack of support, we just really don't know.

I admit it makes a little sad to see so few fans at the Heritage games, but Heritage isn't the only school that struggles with attendance. Yet, Heritage is the only school I see routinely dragged on this board for poor attendance and I think we all know the reason why.
Because they are winning and no support. That's why

Funny reading about how Heritage doesn’t get much fan support. Until recently that was a huge problem at Phoebus. I remember being at UVA for Phoebus 4peat in 2011 and South County having 4 times the fans Phoebus brought. You would’ve thought South County was going for 4peat and not Phoebus.

They are winning and have won, Heritage has a football history. They are supported by the right people, because it takes that to win consistently. What I mean is administration, coaches and probably a few team parents. I hardly doubt any athlete looks in the stands and say "its not packed today we can't win". Having fans come to games is great and helps with gate money etc, but not needed to win. They are probably better off not having a ton of fans show up, less "know it all" coaches they have to deal with.;)

The players notice more than you think. They stand on the sideline and on the field trying to get the fans involved. It might not make a difference if they win or not, but it looks bad when a community doesn’t support a school for a state game. I’ve seen when the visitors had more fans that the home team. This is several years now that Heritage has been great but pitiful support
