From lowly teams like Oregon State upsetting powerhouse USC, to perennial doormat Ole Miss shocking Florida, to MState beating the point spread against LSU, to Kansas City spanking Denver, all the way to the Underdog Washington Foreskins upsetting America's team, this has been a weekend of upsets.

It's no big deal, really. America's team wants to begin peaking in January when it's time to win a world championship. Tony Romo will be hitting on all cylinders come Playoff time.

And, if Wade Phillips proves unworthy of the glorious Tom Landry mantle of championship greatness, we may get GarySean Payton from the Saints. He's proving himself worthy of possibly being the Head Coach of the greatest franchise in all Professional Sports.

No matter what the result, as always, Wise Men Still Follow the Star.

The Cowboys defense has not impressed me. It has looked suspect going back to last year. I thought with Tank and Pacman, they'd be better but they are not.

if you think the Cowboys will ever be able to hire a decent coach. What coach worth a damn would ever want to coach Dallas? You just get has-beens like Parcells, retreads like Phillips, or never-will-be's like Gailey.

under the last two good coaches you will ever have. What can you say about an organization that fires Tom Landry and forces Jimmy Johnson out?

And never mind that I was doing a satire of DynamicDawg's ridiculous opinion on a MSU coaching search.

and I really think Jerry Jones told his rich buddies that the talent of the cowboys was so great, I could hire the dumbest coach I know and still win a superbowl.

He was proven right. If there was ever an argument for talent over coaching, it was the 1995 Dallas Cowboys.

Switzer makes Phillips look like Bill Walsh.

...if Phillips can't get them to a Super Bowl this year. I say it'll be Jason Garrett. I think Jerruh is grooming him to be the HC. Of course, I wish Jerruh would stay up in the luxury box and get away from the football field. Looks too much like a jock-sniffer down there when he's with the players.

However, if the Saints manage to win 10-11 games this year, it may be a good idea for Jerruh to hire Sean "Not Gary" Payton. Payton came from the Cowboys' system, learned under the The Tuna himself, and if he can turn the lowly, perennial doormat New Orleans Saints around, he could surely coach a massively talented team like the Cowboys to yet another dynasty.</p>

Oh that's right, they don't have any. The Saints are a bunch of losers regardless of who their coach is.

The NFC east is the best division by far in the NFL this year. Anyone that is a fan of those 4 teams and envisioned an undefeated season is kidding themselves.
