will feel like having your little brother kick your *** and then force you to watch him <17> your wife.... any chance he gets he will rub it in! Ok, it may not be as bad as the wife part, but there is no doubt USM has the "little man" syndrome towards State and UM.

This may not be a big deal for you fans living in North Mississippi, but here on the Coast it is a different story. We have a melting pot of football fans and debates get very heated. Any social gathering you ever go to will have atleast one fan from State, Ole Miss, LSU, Auburn, Alabama, and yes there is always that token USM fan. Always bitching about how everyone is scared to play them. Well you know what, I would rather keep it that way then risk having a loss thrown up in my face every time I wear a maroon shirt on the Coast. Yeah, we have lost to Tulane, we have lost to LA Tech, we have lost to Maine, but do they have an abundance of alumni anywhere in the State of Mississippi? NO! The CEO of Peoples Bank was on the news this morning talking about it, saying it is about time State got over their fear of USM!!!

I guess when your biggest home game this year is 0-2 Virginia, getting a team from the SEC to commit to playing in the burg must be very exciting!!! I am glad we will finally help them see what the record crowd can actually be at the Pebble...

"It gives them great exposure in South Mississippi, which is something they do not have for their football team,'' Giannini said. "We all know what kind of exposure they get down here when the baseball team comes to play."

we all know how much you like the revenue from that game too Mr. Giannini!!! Your record crowds come from State!!! Can't say you do the same for us in Starkville!

"This is all about the rivalry. Our fans would rather see us play them than a game in our conference.

Their fans would rather see them play Ole Miss than any other team in the SEC. This is all about playing in-state rivals."

My point exactly... This game will be bigger than their conference championship for them!!! Can't say us beating them would be equal to winning the west.
