is that it probably put us in the Tourney and guaranteed Stands bury another 4 years as coach.

It also guaranteed us another 4 years without making it to a Sweet 16.

Gotta take the good with the bad I guess

But I gave you too much credit: I thought you wouldn't be a big enough douche to post that. <div>

if stansbury does end up making a sweet 16 do you change your opinion of him? or is it going to be "1 sweet 16 in 1X years". how many sweet 16s would it take or how deep would he have to go into the tournament?

Stans has not had much success in the NCAA tournament. But he has kicked *** in the SEC tournament....at least by our standards. I remember when the SEC tournament was a 1 and done for us every damn year. Since he has been on staff, we have won the thing 3 times and been to the championship game two more times....now. There is only 3 teams in the conference with more tournament title than us. We are tied with three others with 3.

I have been very frustrated with him this year. It gets old every year losing in November and riding the bubble in the March. However, he has them playing pretty good right now and did last year as well. I think it would be dumber than Arkansas running off Nolan Richardson for us to get rid of Stans.

....so Byrne will be forced to hire someone who will most likely struggle like every SEC coach hired this decade not name Calipari. To me, that's selfishness.

2 at least, but more than likely 3. i am interested to see what he can do with sidney. i want to see if he will go back to putting emphasis on the inside game like he used to do before he fell in love with the 3 ball some time around barry's freshman year. i think that is the turning point in his coaching career. this was his worst year coaching by far, but none have been great since he abandoned the inside game. if he has sidney and still refuses to go back to that style, then we may need to consider going in another direction.
