Lost my mother in 1999. A day never goes by that I don’t think about her. My mother was my world and after her death I became very depressed. I still suffer from depression and take a medication daily to help me deal with it. You will never get over her loss, but you will learn to deal with in time.

Prayer sent out to you and your family. Always remember your mother will always be with you.

Last name Adams. So I’m older than you and they have been away from Springfield for decades. My grandfather owned a junkyard and a pond(fun times for young kids) and rock quarries. There was a small college in town there that was adjacent to my grandparents property (closed for years). I didn’t go to school there at all but visited so many times.

Lost my mom on October 15th... She was diagnosed with stage IV gallbladder cancer in March of 2019. Her death was really unexpected as she recently had scans and we were told her tumors hadn't grown or spread. They changed her Chemo treatment recently because her body wasn't recovering from the treatment they were doing. She then developed a blot clot in her leg in September and then started having breathing problems which turned out to be blood clots in her lungs too. We took her to the hospital on Saturday, October 10 thinking it would be a short stay and she would be home, but on October 13th my dad came home and said they found a tumor on her brain and it was bleeding and because she was on blood thinners to treat the blood clots they couldn't do anything for her. She went into hospice at 9 pm on 10/14 and died on 10/15 at 8:35 am. I stayed by her side, sand her songs, told her I was sorry for being a sh*tty son, told her I loved her, told her she was beautiful, and she was the best mom. I'm bothered at how well I have been taking her loss, but I also think about her now being her every dang moment. Like you I feel bad because Covid just prevented her from living life to the fullest in her last days/weeks/months. Her birthday is on Christmas Day, she would have been 67 in two months. I was hoping she'd make it to her birthday.

It really sucks to lose a parent. My mom and dad passed within about 8 months of each other both at the age of 66. That was just too young to go and too close together. It was a rough few months for me. Many prayers for you and your family.
