I have to question the accuracy of the offer details at this point of the process. Doesn’t seem logical for that info to be available yet.
Does seem strange that presented salary is out there. It almost feels like we are being set up that if he says no, it makes Penn State desperate and that even with a big salary offer we couldn’t snag him

The definition of something that can't be kept secret is something that more than one person knows.

All it takes is one person in the know blabbing to a "trusted" friend. In the information age, it's out there.

Seems he would be most likely to stay at OSU with the defense he's built, or go back to Oklahoma near his family.

If Penn State is legit offering $3.2mil that's a great sign of willingness to pay/administration support, but more likely that number being public is a negotiation tactic to get more money out of OSU or OU.

But does he foster a sense of BELONGING?
He's working on the stadium too!!!! All together hopefullly!!!! Not really premium content per say so hopefully @Sean Fitz doesn't mind, but what a great line he threw out with regards to Kraft. Feel free to delete Sean if I did overstep, but this kind of marries up with this conversation.

"He's willing to spend, not just to elevate the program, but also to mobilize the donors who will eventually pay for it. Balls to the wall, in the sense that spending money will also make money in the long run. Here's how committed we are, if you're not with us now, don't ask to be on the float in the parade."

Penn State can’t pay Knowles the $2.2M he’s making at Ohio St, let alone the $3M OU is reportedly offering.

But Knowles leaving Ohio St would be good news.
Rumor is 3.2M offer as already posted, plus we'd cover the buyout which I think is another 1.2M. It seem PSU is spending the playoff money they just got and ready to compete with the big programs for the big names.

Someone give Knowles a pen. For f*ck’s sake.
After covering the buy out they can't afford a pen

One of the football interns is going to slit his wrist and Knowles will dip his finger in the blood and sign the contract.

The intern will probably die due to loss of blood but interns are like golf balls - if you lose one just pull another out of your bag.

That‘s fine. Whatever it takes.

No pen, no problem . They signed it on an Etch a Sketch . When they showed Franklin , he was so excited he shook it and erased it . Have to start all over again.

I can't help but wonder.....considering that the Buckeye faithful wanted Day and his staff fired immediately and used every method imaginable to make their lives( and family) miserable. Just how are they accepting the adulation now? Now, I'm sure they will "say" all the right things, but all that post Michigan nonsense won't be forgotten.

They were allowed to celebrate for one week.

What have you done for me lately will be the O$U Wal-mart fan mantra come next November.
