1) LSU - no comparison to anywhere else (most obnoxious people I've ever seen)
2) Florida - fans are right on top of the field and the sound gets trapped in there
3) Auburn - most underrated fans in the SEC imo
4) Georgia - good fans from start to finish (one of my favorite venues in the country)
5) Tennessee - 100,000 plus can make some noise (get quite at times too)
6) Ole Miss - 2003 LSU game is one of the loudest stadiums I've ever been in
7) Arkansas - woo pig sooiee has to be the loudest cheer in the country
8) South Carolina - great fans win or lose
9) Alabama - fans are too far from the field but can get loud
10) State - if you have a cowbell in your ear there's not much louder or more awesome, but it's probably not fair to compare apples to oranges.....
11) Kentucky - Upper level is still close to the field but it's nothing like Rupp
12) Vandy - Never been to Nashville for a winning season (only stadium I've never seen packed)

what do ya'll thinK? go DAWGS!

Call me a homer, but I think that we should be a little higher on the list as far as noise.

LSU fans are closer to the field than UF fans are. It's basically football field, sideline, track, and then finally a chain link fence with 20,000 coonasses behind it. It just feels claustrophobic.

</p>1 game doesn't put you in the top half of loudest fans. if you based it on that they should be last from the game against northwestern state or whoever it was last year.
i do agree about lsu though, especially at night.

During the day not so much. MSU during the day is as loud. I guess the coonasses need to get really liquored up first.

I haven't been to UGA or UT but I have been everywhere else.

1. LSU * at night is the loudest stadium in the country
2. AU
3. FL
4. Bama
5. MSU cowbells give an edge, no cowbells and around Ark and UM level
6. USC
7. Ark
8. UM
9. UK
10. Vandy

I imagine UT might be around 4, push Bama to 5, UGA around 6 and MSU to 7 but that is a pure guess. I rated these on SEC games so all stadiums where playing MSU but I have seen some UM games against LSU, Bama, and AU.

Loudest fans in the SEC
the State fans were talking about the loudest fans in the SEC so it got me thinking. This is my rankings after seeing at least 3 games in every stadium.

I've been to three games at the swamp and to the championship versus bama (where freddie million$ went wild) every time their fans sucked. If they are winning and on top look out. If they get behind early their players for sure can't count on their fans to get them back in it. During the SEC championship game the florida half of the field was as quite as church during the second half. They are not loud at all. The swamp is way overrated. It got its' reputation due to Steve Spurrier and him running the score up, not from the fans.
