Very nice win for the Lions. This team has veteran players who have experienced tough early playoff exits. They know what needs to be done and are motivated to send Coach Fisher out on positive note.
I will not call this a statement win as I don't think Courtland is a contender for the class b regional title, but they are not a cupcake either. Excellent start to what could be an undeated season and a high playoff seed for the Lions. Well done!

Well said... impressive win in dominant fashion with big players making big plays. Has to be a buzz building in Mineral!
I was spot on about Louisa.. these guys are serious contenders this year. Great defense and a good athletic offense. They will make a big run this year. I know it is early but I think as of right now it is dinwiddie, Salem and then Louisa top 4a teams.
I can't agree with that yet. Let's get at least two more games under our belts first.
