Sounding as though they're self-imposing a postseason ban for this postseason. That's too bad. In a wide-open year they're on the list of teams who get hot at the right time and make a deep run.

This for the "hiring of girls" for recruits. I am behind on what the NCAA may be investigating them for?

It is very sad for these kids, they had nothing to do with this and are being punished.

Doubt the L-Ville players will stay highly motivated, but I'd rather beat them when they are trying all out.

See I think the opposite...I believe they will be even tougher to beat now. These games will be their season...I'd imagine they will play All Out!!

Yes...that's what its for. In other news UNC self imposes postseason ban in 2066.

Haha, I doubt they would even do that. I think the headline is going to be more like:
"UNC releases statement saying "Stuff happened - Now can everyone just please forget it and go on about their business?'"

What a shame, another one. I have always believed in calling an apple an apple, and an orange an orange, so I don't mind saying I never have liked the Louisville program, nor do I really care for Pitino. But, to me, the whole issue here is about the kids, the ones that had nothing to do with this mess, and are going to have to pay the ultimate price.
Make no mistake about it, at the present pace they are on this year, they had as good a chance as anyone of making the final four. If you think that's a joke, stick around, Duke will play them twice, and no, they will not lay down the rest of the year, they will play every game as if it's their last.
I feel so bad for the two Srs. that transferred there, so they could have their only shot at the NCAAT.
Lastly, this makes me so proud of Duke, Coach K, and everything they stand for, and now I understand why I do and always will bleed Duke Blue!!
Go Duke!!

I agree with this....although I think it's impossible to ignore the other scenario as well. Basketball can be a fickle game. When you stumble once or twice and it really means something, you can re-focus. But other times when you stumble and it doesn't mean something? Well, then it's easier for it to become a pattern. For the Duke game on Monday, though, I'd expect a pretty focused Louisville group. On top of it being almost right after the announcement, it's also against Duke....and that means something in and of itself to just about every program in the country.

NCAA hasn't had the final say in this. Louisville did that to maybe ease the damages.

UL will get hammered still..You know it's severe for them to do this now...Maybe even cost them the 13 banner, but doubt it....I think 100% would have cost them two F4's had they not won the title..

Hello Dukies.

The talking point put out by the Louisville fans, that "the current players had nothing to do with the mess"....may or not be the case.

Freshman Jaquan Lyle of Ohio State has admitted to being part of the mess.
Freshman Antonio Blankney of LSU has admitted to being part of the mess.

Making the assumption that none of the current U of L players being part of this mess....I don't think there is a good reason to believe that at this point. I don't think they have earned a benefit of the doubt and it is not a statement that can be made with any certainty at this point in the investigation.

Cheers.

Correct , it's been going on since 2010 , there around 20 " recruiting " parties , I'm sure some of these guys were participants .
