According to ESPN. So they get to play a big name school, who is beatable, in a great city....I'm literally jealous. When will we get to go bowling again?

I think spotting the Aggies a 21-zip lead would be the way to approach this one for the Cards. It seems the only fair thing to do since they are an SEC team and all.

I'm sure A&M is disappointed to be playing UL, wishing they were playing a national name team.

As long as they don't lose.....I'm sure the "they didn't try because they didn't care" excuse will not fly.

I'm going to be really angry if Louisville beats yet another SEC team at their first crack. Go Aggies!

It's sad that I'm envious of Western Kentucky. They are in the Miami Beach Bowl this year, and last year they were in the Bahamas Bowl. Not bad trips. Maybe we are in the wrong conference, huh? In a good year our team gets a bus ride to Nashville...

Sumlin/A&M may be the next team to fall into the WTH category. After showing promise his first few years he's stumbling somewhat now. If he doesn't close the gap with Bama the next year or 2 he'll fall in with the hot seat crowd.

Louisville fans always liked to disparage Kentucky football by referring to our repeated trips to the "Banjo Bowl". I wonder how they feel about it now?

The Music City Bowl USED to be a lower level bowl game before the CFP. However, it is now a Tier 1 Bowl game.

Agreed, plus I just really like going to that game. I mean, would I prefer to go to Orlando and play in the Capitol One Bowl or better yet, the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans? Of course. But the Music City Bowl is fun- as is Nashville, IMO.

I went last time Kentucky was in the Music City Bowl, and it was brutally cold. Nashville is generally a fun town, but it can be frigid this time of year. I wish the SEC would get some better locations for its lower level bowl games.

Tier 1? I've never heard of that before. As far as the SEC goes, the first tier is the playoff and/or BCS equivalents such as Sugar; then it's the Outback and Citrus; then five bowls, which include Music City; and finally, Independence and Birmingham. Music City is better than it used to be, but, it's not an upper echelon bowl. If it was, it wouldn't have Louisville in it this year.

For purposes of Bowls with the ACC/SEC the Music City Bowl is now on the same level as the Gator Bowl, Outback Bowl etc..etc...from the SEC:

In addition to the debut of the College Football Playoff system, this marks the first year the conference assigned league schools to a "Pool of Six" bowls that include the Outback Bowl in Tampa, the TaxSlayer Bowl in Jacksonville, the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl in Nashville, the AdvoCare V100 Texas Bowl in Houston, the Belk Bowl in Charlotte and the AutoZone Liberty Bowl in Memphis.

For the ACC the Bowl Order is the NYD/CFP and followed by the Russell Athletic Bowl and in certain situations access to the Citrus Bowl-(when the B1G is the ACC Opponent in the Orange Bowl) ...after that the ACC Tier 1 Bowls are the Music City, Gator, Belk, New Era Pinstripe and Sun Bowls.

Don't think too many A&M fans will be making the trip after another disappointing season. It should be a home game for the Cards.

Look for about a 35-17 win for A&M. Much more talent and experience.

aTm is a 3 point favorite...and this is the same aTm team that lost to Auburn @ Home by double digits...Going by the Sagarin Predictor it is a even game and Louisville has held it own to a couple of teams that are in this year CFP or NDY 6 Bowl Games....just going by Projections and the fact Louisville will have a crowd advantage I will go Louisville 38 Texas A&M 35

We are just glad it will be another SEC *** kicking for the holidays.

Georgia was a 6pt fav last year and blew Louisville off the field.

Actually Georgia opened as a 7 point favorite and closed as a 6.5 and like the above poster just said after starting out 0-3 glad we are going to a now quality bowl and playing a quality opponent...along with our young team getting the 15 extra practices...it is what it is...LOL

Too much scoring, at least for A&M....they have major QB problems.

UL will have a ton of folks there. Don't kid yourself.

And I think they have a good shot of winning that game.

Another *** kicking like the one below? Actually we are 1-1 the last two years in bowl games vs SEC:

Despite him being a scumbag , you can now see why TJ hired BP back...He knew it was a crucial time for the program and he wanted someone who could hit yhe ground running....He is all about winning and except for one screw up has done an excellent job with his hires...

Yup.

Took a team that went 23-3 and a BCS victory in Strong's last two years to 16-9 ( no better than third in their own division) and arguably ONE ( Notre Dame) win worth even mentioning.

Or you can say he took over a team that ended up losing 14 NFL Draft Picks from 2013-2014 and a couple of other players that are signed to NFL Teams currently that wasn't drafted...went to a league and division that has the current #1 team in the Nation and the 2013-14 National Title and is still winning all in the while starting for most of the 2015 season with 6 Freshmen on offense...Crum, O'Neil, Thomas, Christian, Jaylen Smith and Lamar Jackson.
