We were down by 8 in the 2nd period we ended the half up by 4. This is a good game both teams look like they have been playing together for awhile. Both teams have good size and good benches. Nyla Harris is making some tough shots underneath and Cochran is really tough underneath.
In the first period we were taking too many bad shots and then we settled down and started attacking on the drive more. The good thing about this team with the height we have 4 rebounders on the floor all the time.

3rd period over we are down by 1 in a really physical game. Cochran and Russell are both important players to the team and they both make major contributions. However they are both careless with the ball sometimes.
Russell is not giving us anything today. Overall some bad passing and poor shot selection. Yet, pretty much even at the end of the 3d qtr. Basically, UofL is UofL’s worst enemy right now. HVS has not looked good at all today. Rickards just needs to play within herself and not push so hard. Jefferson and Olivia having good games. Playing in this tournament is just pure gold for UofL. With all the new players this opportunity will pay huge dividends come regular season.
Koz - agree 100%. UofL didn’t play very well IMO and lost by 3. They really fought back and showed true grit.
It was a good game both teams are in mid season form. I agree that we were our own worst enemy. We really need to work on free throws that is going to get us in close games.

We play Brazil Saturday at 11:30 Louisville time, the game will be on YouTube. I watch games all the time on YouTube it is pretty easy to do.
The turnovers were huge. One point in the game, we never got the ball past top of the key four straight possessions. Canada scored on all four. Guard play is not strong especially dribbling against quick guards. Cochran still can't dribble, but showed grit. Jefferson and Harris were very good.

I definitely think we are a better team than we were last year and the more we play together the better we will get. Canada has a good team with plenty of talent and good size so we will benefit from this tournament. More than likely we will have rematch against them on Sunday.
