When you play three smalls, you need to play tight, if n the grill defense. You have to stop allowing them to just dribble right to the basket!!!

Taj Roberts is absent this game I don’t think she has scored yet. To many turnovers and they are like throwing the ball right to Clemson turnovers. We really need some good bigs if it doesn’t happen I can’t see us being a contender in the future. We need to look in the portal and find someone because I don’t see a good big on this current team.

Tai has one point. But, Arenas has 7. On-ball defense is not very good. We need a couple of 6’1”-6’4” players who are athletic. Our current bigs cannot elevate at all. There is zero shot blocking threat and grabbing rebounds while standing flat-footed only goes so far.

We play good defense and then Clemson will drive and both defenders who are guarding will drop off leaving an easy layup. There is no weak side help at all and not a very good rebounding performance by us.

Did a much better job in the 3rd quarter limiting McQueen’s drives. That young lady has a great first step!

I don’t understand why Russell and Harris aren’t in there more often together earlier in games. They are both more athletic than Cochran and faster. They can both jump and have bigger wing spans and better hands.
Oh and they both can shoot FT.

seems as if Russell is now the player that comes in when we get tired. I am surprised she is not in more but since he has gone to this rotation we haven’t had that 4th period breakdown.

This freshman class is starting to get comfortable. Arenas, Roberts, Randolph and Berry are each contributing in one way or another.

With that said, Juffermans may be a “diamond of this class”. Isla looks to be the most athletic “big” that we have on the roster …..she runs the floor, actually jumps when rebounding and has fairly good touch. She played only 5 minutes in admittedly “mop up duty” last night, but she contributed 4 points and 4 rebounds in a performance that stood out in terms of activity.

Olivia can be so confounding at times, drawing exasperation from all of us, yet despite several missed opportunities, she contributed 11 points and 10 rebounds and played good defense. Victimized by a horrible call on the late 3 point shot.

Isla certainly needs to refine her offensive game. Defensively she isn’t too bad. She will certainly improve. She can be a strong/power presence in the paint and that is a very useful player. I also like Hardy and wish she was getting some spot court time.

I thought I might have a stroke with that awful call on Olivia.

I think Isla would get better quickly if she gets more court time. I would also like to see Imari Berry with more court time. If they stay they will definitely be players next year. I can’t complain to much because I have seen a lot of improvement since the beginning or even mid season.

Isla looked good when she came in. She looks like a rock in the paint and made a couple of good outlet passes off rebounds. I am confident her offensive game will improve with more coaching and minutes.

Facebook goobs are convinced Arenas is as good as gone next year. They also think Randolph will bolt as well.

It was a gamble bringing in all those freshmen for that very reason. Without good NIL money will lose many top notch players.

We’ll see. Taj is THE keeper. Arenas’ size I think PG, but, I think she a 2G all the way. Berry - 2G. Who plays PG? Randolph is a tweener. If she were a couple of inches taller she would be a force. But, she is not and she doesn’t really have a jumpshot.

Arenas and Randolph need to stay here; these young transfers leaving might work out for the players, but it makes one question what they might have accomplished if they had stayed at UL?

CJW said before the season if he could keep this class together in time we would have something special.
