So the somewhat improved play the last 2 games absolutely has to translate into wins in games like today. If not then the season truly is over in November.
That will happen if they figure out how to defend and block out on missed free throws and don't turn the ball over and pass and not be out coached. GO CARDS!
People say, Louisville doesn't make many 3's. Cards had three open 3 point shots in the first 4 minutes of the game.

Hey, Kenny, that arced line abour 20 feet from the basket is not a "force field". How about we try to pass it inside that arc on offense once or twice and see what happens???

Once these guys decide to shoot, it doesn't matter if there are 4 guys hanging on them or how open another teammate is they shoot.
It's truly a mystery how bad we play at home. Any human being standing on the side of the court pretending to coach should not look this inept. It's gone on so long now that it looks like a curse. It just makes no sense the performance against Texas and what we're seeing today.
Part of how bad they look is purely due to lack of effort. Sure they're missing shots but you can see them look better when they all actually play hard

I don't get Payne waiting until we are in a deficit before bringing Johnson in. He should be starting first and foremost over anyone else on the team.

This team is going to have to push to match last seasons win total. Until some miracle happens and the learn how to defend it's going to be an iffy proposition.
