I am listening to the talking heads for the pregame match and the female talking head acts as if we don’t stand a chance against Purdue. I don’t know anything about Purdue but I hope she is wrong.

1st set we crushed Purdue 25-17 what I have noticed so far in this match we are getting good sets. Against Northern Iowa our sets were off.

We win the 2nd set just as convincing as we won the 1st set 25-18. So far we only have 2 service errors in the match.

In my post following the razor close win over UNI, I sensed that it could result in a significant motivation for the Cards. I made that suggestion based on having witnessed Anna start crying almost immediately after the win over UNI. There are always winners and losers, and no doubt there will be stories focused on individual players; however the “Anna DeBeer story” will be a difficult one to match given the hometown background, and her returning after her injury.

The UL performance over Purdue last night may very well be recognized as the single most dominant one when featuring two top ten WVB Teams over this entire season for all schools. Several knowledgeable media acknowledged as much following the match; some at first trying to rationalize that maybe Purdue was under performing. In truth, these UL Women were that incredibly good, and I think the manner in which the UNI contest played out might very well propel them to play the very best volleyball of their lives.

I am really going to miss Anna and Elena 2 great players who have been playing since their freshmen year. Also the last 2 Louisville players left on the team. They will both be missed I hope we close out the season and their careers in Louisville the way we all hope for.

The setting was nearly perfect. My seats were precisely at the net. 8 rows high.
Guardsman - I saw DeBeer slam at least 2 balls, one off a Purdue's player head/face who was apparently looking elsewhere and one off the chest off another player who was set but not able to return it.

My question is who is the hardest hitting spiker on our team and how fast do you think they are hitting it at?

Don't know speed but DeBeer and Luper fire the ball. I wouldn't want to receive it

I’d say DeBeer can hit the ball as hard as anyone in the country. Speed - who knows. Let’s say…really fast.
