Stanford is getting great serves and we are Miss handling them leading to bad sets for us.

We lost the first set 25-22 not bad since at one point we were down by 10. We really need to take the 2nd set if we play like we did towards the end of the 1st we should be good. Stanford is doing a good job placing their serves and we aren’t getting good sets off of their serves.

A complete turn around from the 1st set we take care of business and win 25-14. I felt good after the loss of the first set because we came from so far behind to make it close.

Maldonaldo-Diaz and Robbins made a big difference the 2nd set because they scored from the right side. Prior to that all our scoring was coming from the left side and the middle.

Seems like when either team tries to do that soft touch over the net most of the time they are gettin burned on it.

We are trying to attack from the left too much we need to attack from the middle and the right more.

Ironically the late season losses and the very close match against UNI may be exactly what propels them over Pitt.

In 1980, Griffith fouled-out against Kansas State, and seldom used Tony Branch came in off the bench where he played a huge role in avoiding what would have been a huge upset to a very underrated Wildcat team. Darrell and others acknowledged later that experiencing the thought of failing to get to the NC game was a significant motivation throughout that tournament.
