Has anybody missed more layups than Cochran? I just don't get it. Walz is losing his mind. No doubt they have been working on it at practice but she continues to miss bunnies. What else can he do but play someone else?
It's hot potato out there for the Cards. The ball just keeps going back to the Syracuse players. It's surreal.
We deflect a pass, block a shot, the ball finds a Syracuse player. A shot is missed and the ball ends in the hands of a Syracuse player.
Loose balls have always been a issue of the men's team for years but now the women are experiencing it.

End of the 1st up by 2 defense looks good but offense still struggling. I like we are substituting early hopefully that will keep out energy level up the whole. Especially in the 4th when we seem to run out of gas. The negative is we have 5 turnovers in the first of that trend continues we will have 20 by the end of the game.
Hate the black uniforms they really suck it his hard to tell who the players are and on a quick play sometimes I think the ref is one of our players.
Don't be believe we run out of gas physically except maybe HVL. I believe it's a mental exhaustion like oh no, here we go again. That leads to tentative play and playing not to lose instead of playing to win.
Walz sitting like he's given up. This team looks as bad as the men's team. It's maddening what is happening with Louisville basketball.
We do not know how to play 3 point defense, we guard tight and then we back off giving them space for the open 3.
In regards to 3 point defense Fair is injured right now she has limited lateral movement. When you guard her you don’t have to worry about her going around you. I would get in her face and stay there I wouldn’t back off and worry about her driving around me.
We need more movement, when a player gets in trouble no one gets open to bail her out. The same thing happens when we are bringing the ball inbounds.
The male announcer for this game is awful he is saying what he thinks is happening only having to retract it. I like the substituting it really gives us a different look. When you play the same players all the time the opposing defense doesn’t have to do a scouting report.
I read this board first and figured we were down about 10. Just turned on game and we are up 11 !
What I do know going forward is Kasa Robinson should start the rest of the season. She's the teams best passer, the best defender and has the best hoops IQ. If she had offense skills she would be an all-American.
Liz has really picked it up in this game. Morgan has to stop with these silly lollipop passes. They are so lazy.
I thought the difference was the substituting we kept players fresh the whole game. It also enabled us to play tough defense the whole game. We substituted early from the beginning of the game. This could change things for us the rest of the way. I still think we need to get better on our movement and our 3 point defense.
May want to review as NASA had 12 assists this game, and would have had more minus the missed layups.
Just stating a fact. Game tied at 54 when HV went out. Louisville outscored orange 25-7 during that time. After Jones got hurt, orange outscored the cards 6-0. As some have noted, seems like chemistry issues. BTW, hope Jones injury is not serious.
I love reading threads after the game. For those that think we are better without Hailey, that’s just foolishness. Good team win and now time to take the bye week and get better for the home stretch.
Walz's depth with this team is the best chance to turn things around. He needs to play Harris more than Cochran, play Russell and Konno more than Jones.
But that's easier said than done because Cochran and Dixon on experienced veterans and Jones is the big time transfer. Russell, Konno and Robinson all have a better hoops IQ than those who start over them.
I think team chemistry is the issue and HVL is a big part of it. I think that's why her game has struggled lately as she's been told there's some grievance against her from some teammates. I don't know for sure, it's just my speculation.
These things when they do happen usually occur during the middle of the season and once post season is close, players usually let go of any grievances so not to get knocked out early in March. Coach Walz has his hands full this season.

Do you read much? The statement was that CJW came out Before the trainers. That was odd. It was like there was a delayed reaction to her going down.
I don’t think this team is better w/o HVL. Today, the team played better w/on HVL.
Totally agree about the depth. Russell played well earlier in the game and then never got back in - weird. I love Harris. She has plenty of room for growth; but, ceiling is so high!

I think what you are missing on the scoring run for us is you are basing it on one player. HVL wasn’t the only player that came out several players came out in that run and several different players went in during that run. If you are going to use facts at least use all the facts. I really like how this game went today I thought substitutions were made at the right time which enabled us to pull away in the 4th.
This could really make a difference the rest of the way if we continue this trend I think we are a better team. Like I posted earlier opposing teams are going to have prepare for us differently. In order to make a run in the tournament we are going to need to be running on all cylinders. That includes HVL getting on track and Morgan coming back.
