How about making a crunch time free throw? Today’s miss probably drained a second or two, but jeez!

Well, to be fair, it is the second time in crunch time he hasn't hit his FT. But that Rebound is what won the game so this one ....The guy was twisted around like a pretzel nabbing the previous rebound and had a noticeable limp after.
Completely understandable.
FTsHow about making a crunch time free throw? Today’s miss probably drained a second or two, but jeez!
I did too.Yeah, I guess I’m still hurting from the ones he missed at the end of the Pitt game. Lost an office bet on that one.
He clearly does not miss them because he’s afraid. Kid has more confidence than 99% of players out there. It’s either:Buie was back on the court shooting free throws minutes after the game.
Boo is definitely fearless. This was a weird game because I can't remember us missing so many shots that just rimmed out or went in and out. It happened to Kopp, Young, Buie, and others. And as a team, we missed 2-shot free throws twice, Beran and Audige, that I think we normally make. So to overcome all that was impressive. He clearly does not miss them because he’s afraid. Kid has more confidence than 99% of players out there. It’s either:
1) in his head
2) most likely just sheer dumb luck it happened already twice
The up side is getting better at free throws is probably the easiest thing to correct. When I was first out of college, I got a job teaching 6th grade. I had an hour lunch break every day and the school was in the middle of nowhere. Every day I shot 100 free throws. Because I was bored I kept track of my progress. I went for 50% to 80% . If I can do it, anyone can.How about making a crunch time free throw? Today’s miss probably drained a second or two, but jeez!
I always thought tackling a player would earn you a technical foul. The guy was twisted around like a pretzel nabbing the previous rebound and had a noticeable limp after.

Cheap shot by Ohio State dude on the reboundWell, to be fair, it is the second time in crunch time he hasn't hit his FT. But that Rebound is what won the game so this one ....
The real game winner was the steal of the final PSI rebound. That too was Bouie. How about making a crunch time free throw? Today’s miss probably drained a second or two, but jeez!
It appeared the tall Buckeye committed the sin of bringing the ball low, possibly even trying a one-bounce dribble. Seldom a good move for a big guy to create a steal opportunity for someone the size of Boo.The real game winner was the steal of the final PSI rebound. That too was Bouie.
80+% the rest of the game and missed 3 close out FTs at the end of gamesHad it been two shots, it would have been better to miss the second and milk a bit off the clock compared to having the ball inbounded.
But yeah, our point guard needs to make FT down the stretch. Most likely player to get fouled in the final moments
It drained at least 2.8 seconds. Getting the RB and getting fould took it to the other end of the court to FT line and dOSU had to take it from there to get up a shotHow about making a crunch time free throw? Today’s miss probably drained a second or two, but jeez!

Boo needs to be lock down on free throws if he is to get a look at the next level. Only a handful of PGs make it each year but he can get himself into the conversation. This is premature for a team that lost 17 of the last 23 BIG games, but his all out style of play makes him the right PG at the right time for NU. He is game tough on a young team. LIke Berry too. Please note how hard he is cheering his team mates from the bench. This team has chemistry
Well Gaines is the one who caused the steal - he knocked the ball away. But Boo was the one who recovered the loose ball after that. Gaines has had a ton of deflections on D the last few games - sometimes he gets credit for the steal himself, other times someone else (whoever recovers it) gets the credit. Either way, he's playing well on that side of the ball.It appeared the tall Buckeye committed the sin of bringing the ball low, possibly even trying a one-bounce dribble. While true that you can improve by practicing, just practicing FTs with no pressure and not tired is not the same thing as at the end of the game with the game on the lineThe up side is getting better at free throws is probably the easiest thing to correct. In my time , after we played 5 on 5 for 20 or so minutes, we would then lineup and shoot 30-50 free throws. our gym hand 6 baskets. While true that you can improve by practicing, just practicing FTs with no pressure and not tired is not the same thing as at the end of the game with the game on the line
In your time without electricity must've been difficult to see with the candlelight. In my time , after we played 5 on 5 for 20 or so minutes, we would then lineup and shoot 30-50 free throws. our gym hand 6 baskets.
